Terrible. We couldn't leave Clacton quick enough.
Cons:

Got very little sleep due to an extremely uncomfortable mattress. Plus the boy racers who zoom up and down the seafront late night early in the morning, when they finished the seagulls started. I know that's not the Hotels fault but a bit of double glazing on the windows might have helped keep the noise out.

Lovely hotel, staff and value
Pros:

We stayed in a recently refurbished room with air conditioning. It was very comfortable and the bathroom/ shower was great.
Breakfast is amazing, we stayed here many times due to my mother in law living in Holland on Sea, the staff at this hotel are so friendly and efficient. 10/10

Cons:

Rear car park, spaces are too small for modern cars.
