Pros:

This was one of the most disappointing hostel experiences I’ve had. Having stayed in more than 500 properties across 37 countries, I have a good understanding of what travelers expect from a hostel, and unfortunately this place fell far below those expectations.

First, they charged a 5% fee for card payments, while most places I encountered in Lebanon charged around 3%. It felt excessive and was not a pleasant surprise.

The Wi-Fi was poor and unreliable, which is a major issue for travelers who need to work, stay connected, or upload content. The dorm beds had no curtains, offering very little privacy. Even lockers were not included and required an additional payment.

Overall, the place did not feel like a proper hostel. Basic amenities and traveler-friendly features that are standard in many hostels around the world were missing. The combination of extra charges, weak Wi-Fi, and lack of privacy made for a frustrating stay.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope this feedback helps future travelers make an informed decision and encourages management to improve the guest experience.

A warm yet, paradoxically, stuffy welcome, with "Parisian" prices that clash completely with Beirut's auth

In the evening, I arrive with my instant noodles and ask for some hot water. They say okay, but tell me not to eat them here—it’s a restaurant—while showing me the main area of the hotel: a large room with tables, board games, and so on.

$5 for a cup of coffee is more than the price of street food in Beirut… !
