Beautiful hotel and setting, value for money, dog friendly, tasteful decor throughout. Room was clean, large had everything we could need.

The location is fine. The weather robbed us of the views as there was a storm
The service was very very slow. From checking in, little things like asking a customer what time they'd like to eat and saying it's booked. Just say what times are available. Speeds up the conversation. poachers bar wasn't staffed properly. Too long waiting. She did her best. Bar filled up with dirty glasses. Staff didn't have time to ask how everything was because being constantly asked for spoon for soup or steak knife or menus. Not asked for drinks order once during meal. Food was okay but not great. Not sure what sauce I got but wasn't peppercorn. Everything was a little off timing, staff everything.
A beautiful historical venue, it was so impressive. The staff were very knowledgeable and happy to share the history of the Knights Templar.
