Really lovely day,
Pros:

The location and facilities were second to none, the staff were excellent

Cons:

I am a smoker and found that there were no places with cover for the rain , which is a very inconvenient, as the rain was heavy at times

Pros:

Situation

Cons:

We were disappointed ☹️ with the size of the meal portions. I had beetroot tart tatan which was delicious but the size of a starter. Husband had a salad with prawns which were in panko .. over fried .

Exactly what I’d hoped for when I booked it.
Pros:

Beautiful location on the River Dee. Away from the city but centrally located to many historical attractions by car. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was amazing.

A wonderful remote riverside oasis immersed in history!
Pros:

Our river view room was beautifully decorated and furnished, boasting a newly refurbished bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The view of the river from our room and the common dining area was magical, all set in an exemplary old building with beautifully manicured gardens and an ancient Great Hall dating back over 500 years. The cooked breakfast and dinners were superb. Carparking and free EV charging a real bonus!

Cons:

The cold buffet selection was not extensive, though still ample given the wide choice of excellent freshly cooked hot breakfast choices available. The evening meals were also excellent, but the portions were a modest size.

Great for B&B, but eat out.
Pros:

Comfortable, great location on the River Dee, plenty of space. Breakfasts were good. Lovely walks along the river right from the hotel door. Appreciated the spaces to just sit and read.

Cons:

Supper was over priced, uninspiring, and bland. So disappointing - so we went to find better places to eat and found them, often at a more reasonable price, for the rest of the week of our stay.
