Lovely break away
Pros:

The staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. The bed was comfortable and large ( in our room , I know some are smaller) the towels were nice.
The evening meal was very good with a nice choice and the waiting staff were helpful

The view is beautiful and the outside area lovely and clean as well as the bar area inside .
The bar staff were very friendly.

Cons:

The things we didn't like should come up second , not first as it gives the wrong impression. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend but just a few niggles which follows , I think for the price we should have had a cooked breakfast included. The continental was ok but nothing special. Having a couple of other cheeses rather than just cheddar or some smoked salmon , a honey comb rack, boiled eggs , some nice preserves would have been nice.
There was some mould around the hot tub that was a bit off putting.
And mould around our bath but rest of room clean.
We had to ask for more towels as ours were wet as the towel rail in the bathroom was not on. The lovely receptionist kindly put the towel rail on but it should have been on already really .

A very pleasant weekend weekend with friends.

Cons:

New EV chargers did not work and apps did not respond to limited download instructions and staff unable to fix - very poor and disappointing in a town where EV chargers are at a premium!

Pool wooden surrounds require a renovation!

Great location but a bit overpriced.
Pros:

Location & leisure facilities.

Cons:

Building refurbishment works going on and there was no mention of this at time of booking & we had a view of a small contractors compound area outside the bedroom door. On arrival there was an issue with a very dirty shower head but this was resolved quickly. Also discovered that the shaver electric point wasn’t working & neither was the electric heated towel rail. The inclusive continental breakfast choices could be better & restaurant food quality not the best and surprised that they’d already ran out of the “fish special” at 7:15pm. Also not keen on management staff having meetings/ working in bar & lounge areas during the day.

Lovely comfortable stay.
Pros:

Lovely location. Comfortable bed and room.

Cons:

Room was located across from the rubbish bin area. A little noisy at times.
Although the room was nice, there were cobwebs above the bed and there was a bit of dust around the lamps. Never encountered this at a Harbour Hotel previously.

Sidmouth HH did not come up to standard we've had from other Harbour Hotels. Disappointing
Pros:

View from room was lovely. Room was very quiet, no disturbance from wedding event. Reception staff and Ellie the manager were very good. Bar staff good.

Cons:

Bed was ridiculously high and we're both tall! Room could be cleaner, attention to detail. Service at breakfast was disappointing and choice of continental very limited especially compared with other Harbour Hotels. New electric car chargers not working properly and expensive as not stopping once charge complete. No hot water for 3 days out of 5!!

Good enought to ensure a return visit.
Pros:

The staff were exceptional from check in to check out. In particular, the two gentlemen who worked in the hotel maintenance and operations department were kind and perfect ambassadors for the entire hotel. The front desk staff were also very accommodating. Thank you very much.
