Beautiful property and location. Overlooking the estuary what’s not to like
When I booked it was with breakfast. We found that was only for continental on arrival, if you wanted a cooked breakfast it was another £10 per head, plus beware all the service charges they like to add. This is not a cheap place to stay and the additional charges I don’t believe are warranted.
We had estuary view, unfortunately we had a building right in front. We were also expecting 2 sun loungers not one. It also said through Booking.com breakfast included, we didn't expect to pay for cooked breakfast. This should have been explained when booking.
Location hotel and the Spa

Restaurant was hopeless - something had gone wrong in the kitchen and the waiters and waitresses didn’t know what to do. Things were served late or not at all and some things weren’t cooked to a proper standard although others were.

We paid £390 for ONE NIGHT with a view to the road. This is unreasonable beyond anything.

Poor food . Thai beef salad had funny smell and really chewy meat. We could not eat it. but they did take it off the bill.

Smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in for one of the most expensive hotels. The window was at street level with no light blind, either curtains closed or saying hello and waving to everyone on the main street. Could not sleep with window open as people could poke you from outside! £10 for a hot breakfast or more, a small continental breakfast provided and a coffee.
Asked weeks in advance if possible for an early check-in due to a wedding, no urgency or desire to help at reception, they had 30 rooms ready at the same time early, not sure why they couldn't prioritise 5/10 rooms like other hotels. Car must be moved by 1pm on day of check out.
Great location and a very comfortable room. Very good food too.
