Room was good very spacious, cooked breakfast was large but at a cost, continental breakfast was sufficient, evening meal was very good but (Lemon Sole with spinach only) but had to pay extra for potatoes and vegetables which I didn’t like
Had to pay £10 a day for parking because of the location of Hotel, extra cost which I did not expect
Location
Room very small, facilities kept in a wardrobe because of lack space in the room not ideal & road noice awful. Also public bar poorly stocked & kept running out of everything.
Nothing went well apart from checking out earlier than paid for. Awful hotel.
So bad we checked out the next day even though we had paid for two night. Room was pokey, the window wouldn't stay open. The smell of cooking came into the room. The bathroom had a big step to get in?out off. A spot light on the outside came through the blind. The breakfast was absolutely dire. Dirty cups which I told the waitress who then snatched them out of my hand and got the waiter to get two more to which he stood in the middle of the floor to look at the dirty cups. No apologies was given. £10 a night for parking. When we checked the area it was not in a good place. Great big pothole right near our car dark and dingy. Ordered a cup of tea at the bar and the member of staff that served us made us feel we were putting her out. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It looks very tired on the outside and it's just the start of the season.
Insgesamt schlechter Service . Noch nie so schlecht gegessen . Zimmer roch stark .
Loved the location and the view! The staff went above and beyond, just wonderful, it made our stay so pleasant!
Nothing to fault!
The staff were amazing and the beachfront location was incredible! Our room was very spacious and quiet and the bed was large and comfortable.
There were a couple of what I would consider "hidden" costs. The parking is £10 a day but it is essentially valet parking. The breakfast included in the room price is a continental breakfast, which I actually felt was very good, however, you had to pay extra for any "hot" food and this was £10 per dish. Whilst some of this looked worth the money (the cooked breakfast), I had avocado and eggs on toast, which i did not feel was worth £10. It was essentially a piece of toast with guacamole and (admittedly very nice!) poached eggs. I don't mind paying more, but I think this should be priced based on the meal rather than £10 for all.
I also think in general the hotel could do with a little bit of updating.
Very comfortable and clean staff extremely friendly and helpful
Nothing
Sea view
Room was cold
A lovely place to stay - our room was spacious, and have a fantastic view over the beach! Hotel breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. Special shout out to Dan, who was really great and made us feel right at home! We'll definitely be back!
The hotel was a bit of a steep climb up from the station/beach - not a problem for most people, however pregnant or the elderly might find it a challenge to get back from town
Great location and nice room with sea view
Receptionist was unhelpful bordering on rude. She’s not the right person for front of house
