The property was clean and well serviced. There were renovations taking place at the time of our visit but it did not affect our stay in any way. There could’ve been a few more umbrellas at the pool as it was scorching and not much shade available but not a big deal. The staff were phenomenal. I was travelling with my 86 year old mother and they went over and above to make her as comfortable as possible. The location is not close to the beach but very convenient with restaurants and shops near by. I highly recommend the Publica hotel!
Great shower, nice and clean room. The staff was helpful, also at the gym. Breakfast is WOW!!!
A lot of noise from the street, if you take a room facing the main road
כלום אין שום דבר במלון
האוכל מגעיל כמו של אכסניה
לא נקי ולא טעים
אין מה לעשות במלון
אכזבה לישרוטל
I've stayed in other "Autograph Collection" Hotels before (see my reviews of the The Bethesdian) and this reminded me of that hotel (boutique).
The rooms are comfortable. Despite being on a busy street, we had no outside noise. The staff generally speaks English (I suspect that housekeeping and pool staff speak better English than Hebrew).
A little quirk to be aware of. We booked a room with two double beds. When we opened the door we found a room with a single King Bed. I went back down to the front desk to get our room changed. Rather than changing our room, they "changed" the bed. Apparently, the "King Bed" is simply two twins strapped together and then made up as a single bed (with a topper over the two beds). To convert the bed back to two twins, they simply unmake the bed, remove the topper, unstrap the beds, push them apart, and then make them up a new as twin beds!
The photo of the pool is spot-on. The pool is relatively shallow (I'd bet not more than 3 1/2 feet at any point) but its refreshing on a hot day (its not heated, but it doesn't need to be).
There are multiple restaurants across the road, so food isn't a problem. (with the possible exception of breakfast).
Even though its on a busy street, with multiple bus stops close by, the Hotel is NOT easy to find (or, rather, should I say, no one actually knew where it was). The bus driver insisted that there was no such street, a passenger said that there were multiple streets with the same name. Finally, someone from the Ritz-Carlton (a sister property) gave us directions....although even he got the distance wrong)
If you are coming from the airport (or anyplace via the train), my suggestion is to take the train to Tel Aviv (Ha'Shalom) and then get the 91 bus to the hotel (stops about 200 yards or so before the hotel)
Great location, tons of restaurants nearby and good public transportation even on Friday evening and Saturday. Clean, comfortable room, great rooftop pool. Friendly staff and an overall great experience.
The TV is a little old and laggy.
Like many have reviewed already, this hotel is a new hip hotel with some great facilities - a nice work area with free beer and coffee, good breakfast, an amazing gym complete with boxing ring (!), nice downstairs bar and terrace roof bar.
The room itself is very nice, excellent shower, comfortable and spacious bed. Another reviewer commented on the noise from the Main Street and thin windows on the 2nd floor and I’m on the 4th floor and this is the same. The worst is when loud motorbikes or idiots blaring their music from their car drive by and it’s very annoying.
Now where it falls apart slightly is the service - I did not feel particularly welcomed at my check-in, in fact I had to wait 5mins whilst the staff were having some sort of conversation before being asked to come over and they just unceremoniously checked me in. The free drink was a nice touch but not enough to stop me from feeling annoyed for the wait after a 6hour flight. Secondly, I’m not sure if theres an issue with lack of staff at this hotel but anytime you call the service desk you are put on hold for a minimum of 5-10minutes... I’m not exaggerating. I tried calling at 8pm and 8am and it was same both times, perhaps I’m just unlucky.
Tout était parfait j’adore le style hôtel boutique, l’entretien de l’hôtel été parfait
