Well located and well presented. Good size rooms. Comfortable beds. Professional and friendly staff.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay.
Our evening meals were a little disappointing at the price offered.
The location was perfect for a visit to family living in Buckingham
Nothing
The staff are efficient and welcoming and the hotel is comfortable and quiet. The rooms are as you might expect in an old hotel which has been modified as much as possible without spoiling it.
I thought the dinner menu was quite limited, especially as it does not change each day. It could be quite tiresome if staying for a few days. Even the soup of the day was the same on both days we were there (parsnip!). However, ithe food was well presented and beautifully cooked. On the second night we went for rump steak and fries. They were to die for! Desserts were not very special. Breakfast was unremarkable and unattractive. To make matters worse there was one of those non-stop toasting gadgets with which I find it impossible to make decent toast.
I have, however, one very big complaint - the TOILET PAPER. It was very flimsy, and thin and I had to wash my hands very thoroughly the first time. Afterwards I always used multiple sheets. Cheap toilet paper is a false economy.
A mixed review, but I think I would be happy to go back for a short visit.
Room was large, clean and comfortable.
English breakfast, too narrow spaces to park
We had a great stay here on a travel zoo offer. The staff were wonderful both in reception and in the restaurant going out of their way to be helpful.
Rare now to get plentiful free parking in town centre location so that was appreciated.
Food was excellent and good value.
We took up offer to visit nearby Bletchley Park which was amazing and a “must do” for everyone in UK!
Location. Parking.
Spacious room
Good tea coffee etc in room
Air-con not working and windows fixed shut. Room too hot.
Mattress protector stained and old.
A localização.
Não tinha ar condicionado.
The bed was comfortable and clean, and complimentary water, tea and coffee facilities were provided. Free parking nearby was also useful, although the path leading to it was overgrown.
The biggest issue was the temperature in the room. It was extremely hot throughout our stay, and despite having the window open and using the fan provided, it was uncomfortable. The room itself also felt quite tired and in need of refurbishment. There was a large crack in the sink, yellow staining on the wall near the toilet, and the bath panel was in poor condition with paint flaking away. The bathroom fittings looked dated and, as a result, did not feel very clean.
The biggest disappointment was breakfast. At an additional £20 per person, we expected a much higher standard. The poached eggs were overcooked and hard, and my partner’s cooked breakfast was very small. For two breakfasts, a coffee and a bottle of water each, the £40 cost felt excessive and poor value for money.
Overall, we left feeling that the hotel does not offer good value for the prices charged. While there were some positive aspects, the condition of the room and the disappointing breakfast mean we would not choose to stay here again.
Receptionists are nice as always. The bar is good. Our room was big.
The sockets in the room are located far from the bed. And I don’t like their coffee for breakfast.
Lovely staff. Good location. Historical.
No air conditioning in room -just a fan that was too noisy to keep on overnight.
Dinner - salad very poor.
Breakfast - no muesli - no brown bread - closed at 9:30 which was too early.
Great people, terrific hotel, ideal location. What is there not to like about it.

Lovely hotel, great location
On the hottest day of the year , the heating was on full in our bedroom and we/they couldn’t turn it off!
Old and quaint.
Noisy room, near road and above a function room.
Staff molto professionale, ottima colazione
La stanza lungo strada al primo piano con annessi rumori dall'esterno.
