An Phu Homestay

We stayed at An Phu Homestay for three nights, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam.

From the very first moment, we were welcomed with incredible warmth and kindness. The hospitality was exceptional and made us feel at home right away. Throughout our stay, we were treated to delicious freshly squeezed juices and care.

The breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing – honestly some of the best food we had during our travels. Every meal was freshly prepared, full of flavor, and something we looked forward to every day.

What made our stay even more special were the wonderful excursions. Everything was perfectly organized for us from start to finish, allowing us to simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings and our adventures without worrying about any details.

We had such a fantastic time here and created unforgettable memories. Everything was perfect – the atmosphere, the food and the people. We are so grateful for this experience and would recommend An Phu Homestay to anyone visiting Ninh Binh.

The host, Luong and his whole family were extraordinary hosts. We have been traveling full time for 5 years and this was hands down our richest experience. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine served at breakfast and dinner. All aspects of the accommodations were impeccably clean. Quiet location outside the hustle of Tam Coc and Ninh Binh. 5 minute Grab ride from train station and easy access from Hanoi. Swimming pool, clean and refreshing. Gardens, quaint and bucolic. Great AC in a spacious, private cottage/room. Comfy beds. Small refrigerator, in-room coffee, soft drinks, beer, water and many more subtle comforts. The host has extensive and detailed knowledge of Vietnamese history, culture and natural resources in the region. He and his driver took us on a 2-day tour of the region, including the Cuc Phuong National Park and primate rehab center; The Trang An caves and mountains by boat; countless palaces, temples and pagodas from the 8th Century on, and so much more. Luong speaks great English and provided superb details along the way. This is not a crowded tour; this is a personalized, guided experience from a University educated expert with detailed local knowledge. There is zero pressure to use Luong’s services if you want to see the area in other ways. However, our 3 days with him were the richest we have ever had. Luong takes care of all the details (tickets, lunch, water, etc.) Luong also has two scooters and bicycles for rent for the adventurous types, and his wife provides excellent laundry services. The-Food-Was-Awesome!!! The cost….unbelievably inexpensive. Such a GREAT value. I normally don’t write reviews, much less glowing reviews, but An Phu Homestay was an exceptional experience.

I would highly recommend this home stay, everything about it was exceptional, the home owners are extremely kind and and accommodating, the facility is very comfortable and has a beautiful garden. The food was delicious (breakfast was exceptional), you get to experience true Vietnamese hospitality and the it is relatively close to both the old town & Tam Coc.

Sehr gutes, großes Zimmer, schön angelegter Garten mit Pool, und insbesondere wunderbare Gastgeber, überaus gastfreundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend! Ich habe leider nur 1 x zu Abend gegessen, das war das beste Essen meiner Reise! Vielen Dank für tolle Zeit!!!

Our host was absolutely amazing – he helped us arrange scooters, did our laundry, and even made sure we didn’t miss our bus. Without him, we wouldn’t have been able to communicate with the local driver. Thank you so much for everything!

The place itself is quiet, located on a side street. It was clean, pleasant, and comfortable. Right in front of the apartment there’s a pool and plenty of seating areas. Plus, the local breakfasts and dinners were delicious.

Das Zimmer war groß, hell und geräumig. Das große Badezimmer hatte einen abgetrennten Duschbereich. WLAN zuverlässig. 2 Fahrräder wurden zur Verfügung gestellt. Ruhig gelegen, mit einem sehr schönen kleinen Garten, den man nutzen kann, wenn man nicht den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist. Das Betreiberpaar war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, hatte wertvolle Tips zu Ausflugszielen parat und hätte auch den Transport zur nächsten Unterkunft organisiert, wenn wir es nicht selbst schon gemacht hätten.

La famiglia ci ha accolto in modo molto caloroso e rilassato. Ogni nostra richiesta é stata realizzata. Kevin ci ha servito ogni mattina una colazione sana e deliziosa ed é stato un piacere ascoltare le sue storie sulla cultura vietnamita. Il luogo, ben arredato, pulito, e servito di amache, sdraio e altalene, è immerso nel verde e nella pace, non troppo lontano dal centro. Non vedo l’ora di tornare, Consiglio assolutamente!

One of my best stays ever. The garden is well maintained and the room was very clean and spacious. All the family is welcoming and ready to help and provide with anything you might need.

Everything.
From the moment we arrived Kevin was ryw most was extremely helpful and informative. He was so accommodating and even drew us a map to help us get to the local town. When we left early the next morning he was there to great us with a bag of food to take on her journey. The homestay had a lovely homely authentic feel to it, the gardens, the pool and the room were all lovely. A great start to our 5 week travels!

Wir waren jetzt das zweite Mal dort, und weiterhin hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Hervorragendes Frühstück (im Preis enthalten), ebenso hervorragendes Abendessen, welches man abends bekommen kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet, die Lage ist ruhig, man kann vom Homestay Fahrräder sowie gute Tipps für Touren bekommen. Die Familie ist sehr freundlich und man hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank für die außerordentliche Gastfreundschaft!

Absolutely recommend. This is a wonderful homestay. The owners are truly caring and kind. They were concerned about my safety during the typhoon. I came in late at night and they were welcoming, kind and enthusiastic to show me the room at 0100. The rooms were exceptionally clean and large. I enjoyed the view of the gardens from the large windows. I was able to use a bicycle to sight see in the area on a beautiful day. There is a nice clean pool to use also. When sadly it was time to leave, Kevin assured I got to the train station safe and timely. The owners are genuine and their hospitality was exceptional.
