It did not have an oven which is why I booked it and only one burner in the stove worked. Even so I was not allowed to cancel a night for a refund.
I am on to the second night of my two night stay. Yesterday the car lost its belt tooling down the 101. AAA flat bedded it to the dealer in Santa Barbara ($$$$$) and I was told two days at best. On to the Residence Inn. A warm welcome from Jake at the front desk made things a bit sunnier. A nice suite overlooking the warehouse parking lot, and very comfortable and quiet off by itself in a corner.
Without a car, chances for dinner looked dismal. No car and trapped in a sea of warehouses. Voila. A very good bakery, open till 20:00 hrs is a 10 minute walk. Really the only place around with food. Mexican based I bought a nice chicken burrito. Not cheap at $15 but a life saver. Christinos, I believe. Others had a pizza delivery. A beer from the fridge downstairs, and NFL reruns and I was set. This morning, Diego at the front desk gave me more good news. He was able to keep me in my room for a second night. I had been told before the hotel was booked solid. Thanks Diego!!! My road trip had turned into an expensive disaster. I am happy to say The Residence Inn was here

Despite arranging for my room to be cleaned and assigning a time for room clean when I checked in, nobody cleaned the room even though I was gone all day!
Easy place to stay right next to the airpot. Appreciated the big room and clean kitchen. And happy the windows opened at least a little. Was only there one night so didn't really check out the facilities.
Room was pretty heavily perfumed.
The breakfast was great had a lot of choices.
Dogs were seen in the the gated pool area getting wet wanted to enjoy the pool/hot sauna but due to health safety and santaity concerns did not. Feces and urine, fleas/Tick with human contact in the water not safe.
The breakfast was varied and delicious. There food was hot and well tended. the fruit was fresh and tasty, The coffee was really good.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like about tour stay at the Santa Barbara Goleta Marriott. There was plenty of places to walk our dog and the pet comfort area was clean and convenient. It was very comforting to be able to have our loveable pet with us on our outing. Thank you for your resolve to make us welcome.
The "Holiday" touches were great: "Elf on the Shelf" and "Hot Cocoa" in the lobby were well received by my family. The location of the hotel was very convenient to the UCSB campus where my daughter needed to be by 9am each day. It was only an 8 minute drive.
It would be nice to have more access to complimentary water. Also the wifi connection to the TV (Netflix) seemed a bit slow. Overall, the experience was great though.

Family’s friendly but still felt upscale. Nice room layout. Decorated well. Very safe and clean. Close to restaurants and close to Santa Barbara.
