Good position and very clean
The room was just a little small
Friendly staff and lovely breakfast
Not very soundproof and was awoken by noisy guests in the early hours and the lighting was very poor, needs brighter lights 😕
Owners very welcoming, pleasant and friendly. Everywhere might be a little dated, but it was spotless, the breakfast was included in the price, and I cant fault it. All freshly made, presented well and tasted lovely. No cheap products either. Can't fault at all.
On arrival, we realised the Mapel was a distance from the centre, BUT, we left the car on the driveway, hopped onto a tram, very good. Enjoyed it.
Clean, comfortable room, with lovely sea view.
We received a friendly welcome from the proprietor.
Nice breakfast served
Staff was amazing and very welcoming, breakfast was nice we would definitely stay again many thanks 😊
The hotel and staff were wonderful
The owner seemed very nice and her son and staff were pleasant and attentive. The room was nicely decorated, with two chairs, a soft double bed, coffee facilities and a nice hot shower. Breakfast was tasty with a selection of cereals, fruit juices (apple & orange) and Full English (bacon, sausage, fried egg, hash brown, mushrooms, beans and half-tomato). Yummy.
The first floor hallway (servicing Rooms 1 & 2 and a separate toilet) had an unpleasant smell of 'used toilets' and was very off-putting. Thankfully we could only smell it in the hallway and not in the room. Although the room was nicely decorated etc it was poorly planned. The ensuite was too small to include a sink, so the sink was located at the bottom of the bed? The TV was the smallest that I've ever had in a hotel or B&B and it was located halfway across the room alongside the coffee facilities making it difficult to see. One minor detail, the door lock was fitted wonky. Finally, the walk down for breakfast in the mornings wasn't nice, with the smell of cooking bacon mixed with the smell of toilets (thankfully it didn't put us off our breakfast).
Property was clean
Very dated and run down. Breakfast was between 9-9.30am and wouldn't accommodate outside of this time even to get a cup of tea!
The staff were so friendly. The breakfast was nice. Plenty of choice. We were in Blackpool to watch a show it was a gift so we didn't book where we stayed but it was a great choice
Room was freezing cold on arrival, hoteliers skimping on saving pennies. Christine was lovely but nosey asking me all about why I’d come to stay at her hotel, seemed I was an alcoholic because I’d asked for a couple of drinks to take up to my room on arrival. And what a room tiny, bland, comfy bed though and had a shower n toilet, including sea view. Went out for the day got back around 9ish place was dead, bar was shut. Room was luke warm went to bed, heating had been on from around 7 to midnight, room freezing at 1am. Terrible nights sleep so cold, got up at 6am thought ill have a nice shower to warm me up and pop down for breakfast which I was told was 9am-9:30am but I was freezing so thought hot shower and go for a beach walk back for breakfast at 9am, no hot water FFS! Now I’m mad. Went to talk with Christine the hotelier, she’d forgot to mention, they don’t heat the hotel all day and that you’ve got to run the freaking shower for 5 minutes before the hot water comes through, useful information, right! When I said I’d find a new hotel they refunded me the second night saying she didn’t have to as my booking wasn’t refundable after some half assed attempt to put it back onto my card they gave me cash, feels like fake notes. Called booking.com to advise id had no breakfast and have had hotter nights camping in winter than here and they give me a good will gesture of £10. Completely ruined my annual leave and visit to the theme park. Let’s hope they sell the place and let someone who can afford heating and hot water (you know, the basics), run the place!.
Temperature, staff information, shower knowledge, breakfast, space and less fkn nosy
Apartment was lovely and clean, fresh decor
It was all good
Not the best but didn’t really eat it
Breakfast
Owners very welcoming. Clean room. Lovely breakfast. Tram stop right outside. Parking available nearby.
Lack of parking in front of hotel. Very compact bedroom but fine for our one night stay.
Staff and locations were great for locat travel options. The breakfast was very good. Shower room was a good size..
Being on 2nd floor, no lift, view of front wasn't brilliant. Lighting in room wasn't brilliant decor in room was a bit dated.
The balcony + ameneties in the room make it very desireable
The door
The breakfast was ok and the staff were friendly
The bed only had 1 pillow was to far out of town more of a back street b&b than a hotel and the place was very dated could do with a revamp the tv signal was shocking and the bar was shut on a Saturday night !
Clean, well managed friendly family run hotel, right outside tram/bus stops
Nothing to say here
