Buen hotel, con algún pero
Pros:

El personal es muy agradable y atento. El desayuno estaba muy bien y la comida del restaurante también.

Cons:

El horario del desayuno empezaba un poco tarde y si tienes excursiones te limita. Aunque te pueden preparar un picnic. Por la noche había algún ruido, que puede ser molesto si no tienes el sueño profundo.
En las habitaciones de la planta baja no era cómodo abrir la ventana porque da a una plaza concurrida.

The restaurant was having maintenance done on the morning we wanted to sit on the porch area to look out over the buildings and have our breakfast. Instead we had to sit inside with all the tables crammed together

It was great once.
Pros:

Nice location with a great colonial style.
The breakfast was amazing on the weekend.

Cons:

Incredibly loud on the weekends, and the weekday breakfast was disappointing.
We even skipped breakfast on those days because it offered significantly less variety, and the staff was not as nice as on the weekend.

Pros:

Très belle chambre, grande, confortable et bienéquipée. Personnel très gentil et serviable. Restaurant très agréable qui domine la place avec serveur au petit soin. Emplacement parfait pour visiter le centre historique la journée. Seul bémol, le soir, la place et les environs ne donne pas vraiment envie de sortir et le restaurant ferme a 8h00. Heureusement il y a un Steven 7 l autre côté de la rue.

Vor allem das zuvorkommende Personal an der Rezeption und im Restaurant.

Cons:

Der Lärm von der Plaza Santo Domingo, da war im Erdgeschoss/planta baja waren und so auch das Fenster nicht öffnen konnten. Was aber nicht weiter schlimm war.

Loved the unique rooms and comfy bed. Hotel and restaurant were both beautiful.

Noisy and sleepless
Pros:

This hotel is conveniently located, and the breakfast on the roof was excellent.

Cons:

The rooftop is used to host raucous parties with teenagers and 20-somethings screaming and shouting over booming music. The noise travels throughout the whole building. Two businesses which don’t belong in the same building.

Once the partying finished we were then subjected to loud music from a neighbouring property. Then when that stopped, at 6am, the cleaner’s cupboard, right outside our room, became the next source of intermittent noise, with dustpans and brushes being bashed about. So, no sleep at all.

In addition, the toilet is literally in the same room as the bed, just its on the mezzanine, with just as glass partition. So you can enjoy your partner’s toilet noises reverberating around the room as you try to doze having had no sleep. Nice.

We booked 4 nights and left 2 nights early forfeiting our advance payment with no refund provided by the hotel.

Just for completeness, the safety deposit box was inaccessible as the draw unit was jammed, we complained and there was no effort made to fix it. Probably been like that for a long time.

Neither bedside light worked, the wiring disconnected and bulbs removed and only very stark bright overhead/wall lights so no ambiance at all.

And, watch out if you are in this particular ground floor room, if you open the full length window/door you will wake up the poor homeless soul, sleeping in your window recess which opens out onto the adjacent square.

I was gutted, having wanted to please my partner with a nice place to stay. I got it very wrong on this occasion. Always read the one/two star reviews as the warnings are there.

Emplacement central, très pratique pour visiter le centre historique de Mexico.
Petit-déjeuner copieux et personnel du restaurant très sympathique.

Cons:

Bruyant en fin de semaine à cause de la musique live du restaurant, mais bonne ambiance si vous souhaitez profiter 🙂
