We had any outstanding visit at the Archer. The room was fantastic, clean and roomy! The bed was wonderful as well as the linens. The staff was wonderful. We wanted to stay an extra night and they assisted us with a smile. The "Nosh" center was adorable, we could not help but purchase some Jersey Girl candy bars. Overall it was a great visit and we will definitely be back.
Stay away! You will melt in the non ac working hotel rooms. 84 degrees in the room! Absolutely terrible cooling system. So hot in the hotel room we were melting. It was 84 degrees in my room at one point. Hotel can ask the maintenance man if they don't believe me. He was sweating in the room with us. Front desk did not care or have another room for us or a fan they could offer. Occupant sensor broken marking room as empty when it isn't so the air wasn't working. The hotel saves expenses and the paying customer suffers. Never returning and making sure I let others know as well so they can spend their hard earned money elsewhere where they can be comfortable
Comfort and the location.
Our kids were both coming home to stay after college and graduate school. So we decided to have a night out for my husband’s birthday. We enjoyed the unique, artsy style of the Archer hotel, staff friendliness, reasonable price, and great room. We started the night with excellent cocktails at the bar and enjoyed a meal as well. The bar/restaurant area was peopled, but not over-crowded. It had a good vibe, but was not snobby or self-conscious, people were playing pool and lounging by the fireplace. It was a great night overall.
So, I’m 50:50 on writing this review. I stayed her the beginning of June and had a wonderful time! Room was spacious - check in was very on par. Definitely 10s all around.
We decided to come back the following weekend (here now) and the power goes out. What ?? Mind you, it’s almost 85-90 day in June for NJ, a smaller room than what we had. On top of that room wasn’t ready as requested via text, okay cool, but now NO AC? NO power? For the rest of the night? wait a min? Definitely not the exact experience I was hoping for and not after such a great stay the first time, (which made us come back!!) Now we are waiting to check out and see what they tell us…..
So, yeah, we are hoping they make things right …but if not, you know to avoid..
