Nothing it did what I expected staff were pretty awesome
For a birthday party we booked their advertised 'Basic Party Package' in their Gallery room. For a fixed price, I was sold by the Events Team: The room, a buffet, a DJ and personalised welcome mirror that would read a welcome message to be a stand out of the feature of the room.
If a 'welcome mirror' is sold, you should absolutely expect a physical, reflective mirror, decorative, used as an entrance sign. I write this review to just let others know that the Seagoe's idea of a welcome mirror is what looks like a kids chalkboard with chalk writing placed hidden away in a corner. They mis-sold on this service and unfortunately their aftercare on our feedback was poor - Zara and Events Team just couldn't see it as an issue, not befitting for the 4* hotel location & customer service we chose. If you're particular about the small details for events, arrange your own welcome props and personalisation.
Pleased to say they did deliver on the room, buffet and DJ, which were all excellent.
Seagoe Hotel has an inviting reception area, Front desk staff are welcoming as well as knowledgeable. we stayed as there was the Bingo Loco event on which was absolutely brilliant. a bit of waiting around outside before the event which could be better managed and laid out. The Rooms are of a very good standard, clean and modern with all the nice touches such as a mini Fridge, Tea/Coffee Making station, Iron/Iron Board, water etc, Hotel is extremely quiet and has a good atmosphere. we dined in the food area while there food was okay and staff in the restaurant were Friendly. all in all we had a great stay and would stay again should we be visiting Portadown in the near future.
