Cons:

We felt the price was very expensive for what we got. Dinner at the restaurant was unfortunately not a good experience for us - the worst meal in our whole trip. The fillet steak felt like a boiled chunk of meat. Very disappointing for the high price.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff.
Pros:

This is an older hotel, with the older hotel charm. It has been updated and the rooms are modern and clean. The staff was excellent! Breakfast was very fresh and had everything you could want. Dinner in the hotel dining room was also very good. It was nice to be able to walk down to the lake in the morning and spend some quiet time by the water.
If you are here at the correct time of year, definitely make the time to drive to see the puffins!

Cons:

It is easier to hear your neighbors above you in this hotel, so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. We did not have any issue though.

Pros:

Eitt af mínum uppáhalds hótelum að matsölustaðnum meðtöldum. Hef gist þarna þó nokkrum sinnum í gegnum tíðina og upplifi alltaf sömu gæðin hvort heldur sem viðkemur gistingu, mat og spa. Starfsfólk einstaklega hjálpsamt og alúðlegt.

Quiet and great location with a whiff of barnyard
Pros:

The view of the lake! The restaurant was very convenient and wonderful cuisine

Cons:

There is a working dairy farm on the property so it can be very fragrant to say the least.

The aesthetic was “Soviet era housing” in some respects. We considered it cold

Finally- very expensive compared to other properties we stayed at.
