A wonderful and relaxing stay with great hospitality – highly recommended!
Pros:

The property is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the pool area is perfect for relaxing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. The location is great, close to Kabalana Beach and restaurants, but still peaceful and quiet. The restaurant food was also delicious.

Cons:

Honestly, nothing much to complain about. Everything was well organized and the stay was very comfortable.

A wonderful and relaxing stay with great hospitality, comfortable rooms, and excellent facilities.
Pros:

The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped with a safety box for valuables which made us feel very secure. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The swimming pool area was relaxing and the restaurant served delicious food. The location is also great, very close to Kabalana Beach.

Cons:

Honestly, there was nothing significant to dislike. Everything was well organized and the staff were very attentive to guests.

Pros:

Good location if wanting to be in Ahangama

Cons:

Hotel did not look like the photos at all, bathroom was not clean there were lots of ants everywhere. The shower also leaked right into the hotel room. Would not recommend.

Overall a good stay, comfortable, pretty, safe.
Pros:

The rooms were great. The place was built beautifully. The food was yummy.

Cons:

The pillows on the bed were uncomfortable. The staff could have been better. The owner was not as helpful, probably because we were locals.

Pros:

It was an amazing stay — finally a place where you can truly relax in Kabalana. The hotel is close to the beach, within walking distance (about 10 minutes), but still quiet and peaceful, away from the traffic of the main road. You can actually hear nature here.

The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. The shower was honestly the best I had in Sri Lanka — strong water pressure, hot water, and a really good flow. The whole space feels comfortable and easy to be in, and the pool is great too.

Above all, the staff are incredible. They genuinely try to help with everything. I arrived at 8am, long before check-in, and they let me in straight away. I also needed a very late check-out and they were flexible and supportive, even keeping my luggage for me.

An OK budget stay
Pros:

Quieter location but only 7 minutes’ walk to the beach. The pool is nice and breakfast is decent enough. But we were in the villa which needs some TLC. Towels are very old, sockets were loose and the bathrooms not particularly clean.

Pros:

Great pool. Room was fairly clean although the bathroom wasn’t great and the sink blocked. Breakfast was pretty good

Cons:

Owner was very nice, friendly and talkative. The curly haired member of staff was lazy, disinterested, unhelpful and frankly rude

Pros:

Very quiet place, a bit far from the main road, but not a problem for me. About 7’ walking to the beach ( which is the best beach I’ve seen in Sri Lanka )
Room & bathroom are big
Bed was comfortable
Breakfast was ok

The bathroom needs full renovation, is covered in mould

Don’t recommend. Disrespect and no understanding of hospitality or etiquette.
Pros:

Booked the triple room for me and my wife for the extra space as double room was too small. Was comfortable space. Food was pretty good compared to other hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka.

Cons:

Some of staff were very rude, and yelled at my wife.

Upon checking in we wanted to settle the booking payment. They said the card machine was broken and should be in working order the following day so they said its ok to pay upon checking out, noting that we have informed them clearly that the last day we will be leaving at 4 am. So they agreed it can be charged half day (but they did not in the end).

Out of responsibility on the last day we went around 7pm to the office to settle our bills and discovered that the card machine is still not working and we weren't informed about. When we reminded them of initial discussion the duty manager blatantly denied everything and shouted at my wife. They were disrespectful and rude.

The room was said to have a garden view where it was barely a tree from the balcony. There was constructions in the hotel and near hotel that starting very early in the morning.

In the end, couldn't wait to leave this place to be honest, they were very disrespectful and didn't even apologise. Really soured our experience of Sri Lanka and did not meet standard or reasonable hospitality expectations. They could have updated the payment terms on booking.com to say it is CASH Only or at least proactively given us notice a day or two before we leave that the card machine still wasn’t work.

Balcony glass was broken (balcony is shared with other rooms). TV did work well and no channels. Light switches falling off. Faulty card holder on wall for room power so lights kept turning off - we had to wedge tissues to keep it stable and power on in room.

Got very judgemental looks and comments when returned to hotel late at night.

Nice spot with great staff
Pros:

Good location just back from the main drag, great pool close enough to the beach and amenities. The young (maybe manager?) was so attentive and lovely throughout the whole stay.
