No es un hotel 5 estrellas como se venden! Tuve problemas con la ducha los 3 días que estuve, intentaron solucionarlo pero imposible!

I can't complain much but maybe add more variety of food on the menu, cultural dishes if possible to enable guests to sample different dishes.

The cocktails are good but there's room for improvement; also the bar can stay open for a little bit longer for those who don't sleep early.

There was some renovations happening causing noise while trying g to relax at the pool
The food was inconsistent

Chef Mark decided to be rude and shouted me in front of other guest and staff for not eating breakfast but packaging it. He told me he has been watching me for days and I appeared like a big eater, which is not wrong but very wrong because I am not.
I was there to celebrate my birthday and booked it with the expectations of getting good service like other 5 Star hotels I have been to other years, all I can say What a bad experience. Till late nite after complaining was given a piece of cake and shooters.
I did launched my complaint at the hotel but the general manager decided to apologize on behalf of Chef Mark saying maybe he had a bad day. Hope He always apologize for every staff not Mark only.
In general, book it at your own risk.

I hate to say this but for the sake of improvement and helping others make informed decisions, I believe the following need to be addressed for this nice establishment to stay at the top.
1-Food selection at breakfast was minimal in terms of choices. I wonder what happened to the boiled eggs!
Still on the issue of food, I know I stayed during low season but the provision of Al Carte as the only option for dinners didn’t sit well with me. I missed the poolside dinners with the lively performances. In terms of what I ordered off the al carte menu (Catch of the day-Red Snapper) it was nicely prepared and the caramelised onions were a bonus. The onion soup was okay but could have been better if served hot, not lukewarm. The chips potions were small but well presented, unlike in other places where the chip sizes were all over the place.

2-Water pressure in my room was too low. The toilet flushing system wasn’t working well which required playing around with the system for the water to stop running. (Easy and cheap fix) from a DIY background.

3-Bedding- I honestly believe that the stained white bedsheet on my second day was by pure mistake. I can’t begin to describe what happened to that sheet but it wasn’t a great sight.

4-Swimming pool. The once lovely swimming pool is now falling into pieces. The mosaic tiles are stained in most places and need a good jet wash or replacement. Also, one of the pool lights connectors is exposed to the elements (pool and rain water). We all know that electricity and water don’t mix though ironically electricity is mostly generated by water!!!

5-There were lots of cats around the property. I don’t have an issue with them but the weird noises they make especially in the night can be overwhelming.

Finally, having pointed out the above, and coming from a good place in my heart, I am sure as hell coming back.. Asante sana!!!
