Room was VERY comfortable, very tastefully decorated and above all CLEAN! Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Staff were friendly and helpful, offering us a coupon to eat at der Deutschmann. I personally enjoyed all the pictures of Amish life hanging in the hallways.
Our stay couldn't have been better!
Typical American breakfast. It’s average for most USA hotels, but way below standards elsewhere. The only cooked food is eggs and processed sausage. No vegetarian options except buns and white bread and a bit of fruit. But this is expected in USA where breakfast standards are very low.

Super-clean facilities in the Amish-Mennonite community of Pinecraft, with a very friendly front desk and quiet, spacious, spotless rooms. There’s a simple, soothing vibe the moment you walk into the lobby—a vibe that seems to discourage obnoxious behavior, which is wonderful if you’re looking to relax!
This is a hotel that clearly takes great pride in its cleanliness and upkeep. The “fancy” hotels closer to downtown could learn a lot from Carlisle Inn.
And despite being a little removed from downtown, Bahia Vista is just a short drive to downtown Sarasota.
Rather uninspired breakfast maybe a step above Holiday Inn Express.

Exceptional service from the moment you arrive until you leave. Excellent cleanliness, excellent value, excellent comfort. This hotel’s proximity is in an ideal location just 20 minutes from the Sarasota airport, close to major roads/ highways, all beaches, shopping (UTC), restaurants, and downtown Sarasota without all the tourist congestion!
On site includes: breakfast buffet every morning and fresh baked cookies in the evening, outdoor pool opened early until 10pm, 24 hr fitness gym, business center with internet and printer access, laundry in the hotel for guests (buy a $1 detergent pod at the front desk!), umbrellas for those downpours, spa (get a 1 hr massage at the chiropractor office in their plaza on premise), or go for breakfast/lunch/dinner at their famous Amish restaurant “Der Dutchman”—it includes a cafe, bakery, takeout, and gift store!!! Don’t forget to check out the handcrafted Amish furniture at their store in the plaza also!
Janet, the hotel manager, will accommodate all your needs! Everyone in the hotel treats the guest with exceptional service, including the front desk (Thank you, Misa) to the breakfast staff (thank you, Misako for your smile and hellos every morning!).
This hotel is highly recommended for families, events, and extended stays.
