There was no communication between Booking.com and the hotel, which meant our reservation wasn't on the hotel's system when we arrived to check in. This could have gone badly if the hotel had been full...

Served our Purpose.
Pros:

I don't really know what to say. Served our purpose of an overnight stay. Didn't see any staff other than the barman that checked us in. So can't really make a comment there. Had a lot of shortcomings. But for a night we made do.

Cons:

No TV in our room, no hand towel, no face washer, no bathmat. Access to a kitchen, but next to nothing to use in the kitchen. Access to a TV in a lounge area, but no heating and no doors. Bathrooms were very old and due for a makeover. The bed? Well I am not very tall, about 163 cm, and my feet were over the end of the bed. Hmm - not real sure what sort of mattress it was...it was about the length of an old caravan mattress. We had just stayed in a hotel/pub in Orange. The pub was about the same vintage and everything had been renovated. All the furniture in the room was new, including a TV on the wall. Access to the kitchen, with plenty of utensils. If the cutlery went missing they just got more.

Pros:

The hotel was located to our needs and we used the restaurant facilities which made it easy as we didn't need to leave the premises.

Cons:

The double bed was in poor condition and really needs replacing. When you have travelled all day, you need a comfortable and supportive bed,not one that sags in the middle

A lovely old Aussie pub with lots of character. Great location. Excellent food and well priced.
Pros:

We booked 2 rooms with 5 beds but when we went to our rooms there were only 4 beds so they upgraded us to an ensuite room at their expense.

Not a pleasant experience
Pros:

Sadly, the room was very basic and the bathroom was a shared bathroom down the hall. It was not what was expected.
I understand that the booking mistake was ours but we double checked all accommodations after as we didn't want another night in such circumstances.

Cons:

The room was tiny, the bed was made with sheets that were still all wrinkled from the clothes dryer. The carpet is not clean. The bathroom was down the hall and to be shared, which we did not use, but had a wash using the basin in the bedroom.
It was our booking error that we did not book the room with an ensuite.

Pros:

Good central location. Clean rooms. Easy check in / out process.

Cons:

Bed sagged a lot. Not the most comfortable but not enough to be an issue. Acceptable for the price.

Great stay will be back. Staff great. Restaurant specials a winner. Facilities great. Well stocked kitchen. Hot showers
