I like the self make waffles with the mini waffle option.
Grits were running. Made to order omelettes would be a plus. They were running out of biscuits quickly. I would also suggest to add more breakfast meat options
The staff was great!
Location
My room this time wasn’t clean fully. Outdated. I stayed in the next room over just a month ago and it seemed updated. My a/c ran loud all night, the sink was missing parts, the shower handle wasn’t screwed in all the way and the fridge shelves were dirty.
Breakfast, all tables were dirty, custodian just walked around smiling at folks and not cleaning. The kitchen staff girl wasn’t cleaning the tables and food counters. It was pancake mix and food debris everywhere. Why would I anyone want to eat or feel comfortable eating around mess and uncleanliness? Again we stayed here just a month ago and it WAS NOT like this. New management? New staff? Do better. Food wasn’t ready and we had to wait on eggs, waffle mix machine didn’t work, biscuits were hard, no utensils or coffee cups replenished without asking. This isn’t the service I’m used to. Again I can compare because we stayed at this same exact hotel just a month ago.
Staff just needs to do better with time management and cleanliness. Front desk clerk at check in was nice but the clerk at check out was on her phone the entire time I saw her. If staff is lacking all need to pitch in to make sure the property is well represented, clean, functional, not on their phones to pass the time.
Very clean, close to the children’s hospital
Very clean & nice staff
Loved that the rooms had pull out sofas, fridge size, dishwasher,
The bed was not comfy enough, and the ac made it sound like it was raining
Breakfast was great as well as the location

The room was perfectly acceptable. My complaint is about how the hotel handled our payment.
Our reservation was fully prepaid through Bravofly (Lastminute.com) on February 5 as a non-refundable booking. However, when we arrived, the hotel claimed they had not received the payment and required us to pay a second time.
Bravofly is one of the hotel's booking partners, so confirming the payment should have been handled between the hotel and its partner before our arrival. Instead, the responsibility was passed on to us. Since we didn't want to argue at check-in while traveling, we paid again.
After our stay, I spent weeks sending payment confirmations, invoices, and emails to prove that the original payment had been made. Rather than resolving the issue with their own booking partner, the hotel left me to act as the middleman to recover money that should never have been charged twice.
Although the duplicate payment was eventually refunded, guests should never be responsible for resolving payment issues between a hotel and the company that sells its rooms.
This unnecessary stress overshadowed our short stay in Birmingham and left a very negative impression.
Really, really nice folks working there. Place was also clean and comfortable.
Pillows were bad and didn't like that I had to pay for parking
