Pros:

Very friendly staff. The most English we've had spoken in two weeks. They were very helpful when we needed to get an item posted. Breakfast was great and the view was excellent.

Location opposite the lakes was great for evening walks. There were a few bars that served spirits as well as beer.

Guilin was a great small city near beautiful mountains

Cons:

It would have been useful to have a fridge in the room

Booking.com should verify the star ratings of the hotels before listing them on the site. Property is over rated with 5 stars. No bell desk at the hotel. Had to carry luggage to the room myself. Only 1 mirror in the room that also in washroom that also with poor lighting . Can’t get ready when washroom is busy. Below average buffet breakfast with only 3-4 options & all tasteless.

La colazione è stata il punto debole del soggiorno. La scelta era piuttosto scarsa e limitata e composta quasi esclusivamente da piatti orientali. Per i viaggiatori europei le opzioni erano davvero poche.

The best place to stay in Guilin
Pros:

Such a nice hotel. We are satisfated!! There's park in front of the hotel, many cafes...The hotel is very beautiful, clean and comfortable, We sleep very well, drink tea in the room.. Have breakfast with a great view. The staff is so helpful, we really appreciate them. Once come again to Guilin, certainly stay here!!!

Séjour idéal dans un petit hôtel de charme, traditionnel et avec un personnel au top et anglophone !
Pros:

L'hotel Aroma Tea House est très bien situé, très confortable et avec une décoration d'objets chinois anciens dignes d'un musée. La salle du petit déjeuner offre une très belle vue sur Guillin. Le personnel parle très bien anglais, les 2 personnes à l'accueil organisent les excursions à la demande et proposent les services de voiture avec chauffeur, la personne que nous avons eue parlait très bien anglais et était très sympathique également. L'hôtel propose également un service de laverie très efficace et peu cher. Dans la chambre il y avait également un coin salon traditionnel pour prendre le thé - offert, c'était une pause très agréable.
