Marriott Irvine Spectrum

I travel a lot for business and pleasure, Bonvoy titanium. Have been very pleased with this hotel twice now. good service, enjoyable MClub (although they need to add variety to the same everyday breakfast), the lobby (lobby bar is blah, poor service), the rooftop bar (excellent service and atmosphere, the valet was exceptional (Abani typically helped us).

Everything was so pleasant and peaceful. Every employee was very nice. The valet guys were extra helpful Preston, Adam, and Kean. The bed is comfy. The room is nice and they even gave me a complementary toothbrush because I forgot mine. The view on the 11th floor was beautiful. Thanks for everything guys!

1. Front desk staff needs training. They don’t seem to care.

2. Food in Club Room is poor quality and very limited. Not up to Marriott standards and rarely replenished.

3. Good location to Irvine Spectrum restaurants but so are other hotels.

4. Stayed 5 nights in suite room. It’s overpriced for what you get. Come on Marriott, you can do better.

Great hotel, excellent service, very clean and new. Just be aware of $55 valet charge and $20 hotel fee.

Always wonderful to be back at this hotel. Especially great to see Jen at the front desk and Adani at valet. Both are so kind and helpful with above and beyond service.

This place used to be a bit of an oasis. It's a rip-off but in line with expectations.

To be clear, I'm lifetime platinum elite. I'm pretty clear on the marriott value prop. This place takes no heed of the promise they make to guests. Bear in mind: if you 'check in' using their app, you will later be told, 'that's not really checking in'. So they named it 'check in' and then gave it a different function.

Checked in - no room. But did they still charge me? You betcha.

Did they also allow a guest to rent an open event space and blast music until midnight?

You betcha. Were there tons of kids there for an event the next day? Sure was. Did they care at all? Not in the slightest.

This place should be avoided at all costs.

Upon my arrival to Marriott Irvine Spectrum hotel with my husband. Edgar and the rest of the valet crew showed me where the elevator up to Hive and Honey with out reservation being at 8:30pm so we came down to the bottom bar and helped us quickly. Good ambience upstairs and getting our car was very fast.

My family and I stayed here for our spring break. While the hotel is nice and well-maintained, we did not enjoy the club lounge or the Honey and Hive rooftop bar.

The M Club Lounge served the same breakfast every morning. The eggs tasted like they came from a bag and had a strange texture. The dirty dishes were left in a bucket right next to the food which was pretty unappetizing. And lastly, the beverage fridge was pretty much empty almost our entire stay (see photo).

The rooftop restaurant had very mediocre food and the staff was not friendly at all.

Our room was beautiful though and had a gorgeous view. Also, the pool is gorgeous and pool staff was great.

Marriott Irvine Spectrum is easily one of the best hotel experiences in Orange County if you know what you’re booking.

From the second you walk in, the place feels elevated. Clean, modern, and designed with intention — not your typical Marriott. The entire property has that upscale, resort-style energy while still being in a prime business and shopping location.

The rooftop bar (Hive & Honey) is a major highlight. Panoramic views of Irvine, great atmosphere, and the perfect spot to end the night. It’s one of those features that takes the hotel from good to unforgettable.

Rooms are spacious, clean, and very well put together. Comfortable beds, great lighting, and large windows that give you that full city view. Everything feels updated and high quality.

The pool area is another standout — cabanas, lounge areas, and a setup that actually feels like a resort, not just a basic hotel pool.

Location is perfect. You’re right next to Irvine Spectrum Center, so you’ve got restaurants, shopping, and entertainment all within minutes.

Staff across the board was professional, friendly, and efficient. Everything ran smooth — no issues, no delays, no headaches.

Bottom line: this place blends business, lifestyle, and resort energy better than most hotels in the area. Whether you’re here for work or a getaway, it delivers.

10/10 — would absolutely stay here again.

Great hotel with fantastic rooftop restaurant. Valet staff was great too. Cole Zach, AJ and Makayla all supper helpful with the ton of luggage I had.
