A lovely 24 hours for a family wedding. Breakfast was lovely staff very welcoming
Pros:

Lovely location- the room was lovely - very spacious

Cons:

We were there for a wedding- which was a 2 second walk to location was key, the room was extremely hot which isn’t normally a bad thing I like being cosy but the under floor heating in the bathroom was like walking on lava. The price of the stay per night I thought was quite a lot - we were originally going to stay for 2 nights but it was out of budget

very enjoyable
Pros:

Well decorated and comfortable with sllbrhe facilities would expect. Nice toiletries inbthdbtoom. Restaurant was excellent and breakfast was extremely good. Staff were helpful and very friendly

Cons:

Shower was effective but set in a sunken bath up a number of steps which made the taps difficult to reach and the top tiles were slippy when wet. Whilebthe designbwas sheik this would prove difficult for anyone with any mobility issues.

A pleasant stay
Pros:

Lovely spot, nice character building, relaxed feel, receptionist/manager was really helpful. A happy stay.

Cons:

Some hospitality staff were lovely, others not as helpful. Room 7 had an odd sunken shower and our friend found it hard to step down and access. Downstairs ladies got a bit scruffy.

The staff friendly but over-worked . the location in the heart of the town is good, parking tricky
Pros:

Fire in the lounge (needed as cold and wet).
Comfortable bed

Cons:

We had to ask for the heat to be turned on in our bedroom. There was a previous guest's dirty towel on the hook behind the bathroom door and the towel rail was broken.
The dining room was chilly

Disappointed
Pros:

The location was good and the town itself looked really cute, so I was disappointed that I couldn’t stay longer to explore it. The room itself was okay and the hotel was fine in terms of location only.

Cons:

Unfortunately, there were a few things that really let the stay down. I was disappointed to find there was no parking at the hotel, as this would have been useful.

I also ordered a pizza for dinner, which unfortunately arrived burnt, so that was disappointing.

However, the biggest issue for me was the bed. I have never left a hotel in the middle of the night before, but the mattress was so uncomfortable that it genuinely felt worse than sleeping on the floor. It was so hard that it actually hurt my joints, and I simply couldn’t get comfortable or sleep. I ended up leaving shortly after 4am because I would genuinely rather have been in my car driving home than spend the rest of the night in that bed.

I had already paid enough for town parking that I could have stayed and looked around the following morning, but after such an uncomfortable night and a disappointing dinner, I decided to leave. I wasn’t confident that breakfast would make up for the overall experience.

It’s a shame, as the town looked lovely and the location was good, but unfortunately the bed made the stay impossible for me.

Great stay in fab location!
Pros:

Fab central location close to all amenities & dog friendly ... very easy parking!
Lovely breakfast & staff were great!

Cons:

The bedroom pillows were so soft we didn't have a good night's sleep even though we had two each!
Really need to change!
