The highlight of the trip was John the shuttle driver took us to Owen’s Fish Camp (which was awesome recommended when we checked in)and picked us up. They need to clone him he is employee of the year.

Chose the hotel because of the location and rooftop bar to watch the July 4 fireworks. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. Though we didn't use it, the hotel provides shuttle service to shopping and beaches and even offers beach chairs and a cooler! The wait staff on the rooftop were great in spite of the heat. We had a delicious breakfast at Tzeva, the hotel restaurant. Our server, Tin was lovely. We will be back!

We stayed one night over the July 4th holiday, and before I say anything else, I want to give an enthusiastic A+ to the people who work here.

It was an incredibly busy holiday weekend, yet every single person we encountered—from the valet and front desk to management and the team at Tzeva—was warm, gracious, patient and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Ana Maria at the front desk and Joe at Tzeva, who exemplified what hospitality should be.

Hospitality is about making people feel valued, and this team gets it exactly right. At one point, someone even appeared at our door with a box of delicious macarons—a thoughtful surprise that perfectly captured the spirit of the hotel.

The lobby, with its rotating exhibitions of regional artists, remains one of the most beautiful and inviting public spaces in Sarasota, and Tzeva continues to be my favorite restaurant in town. As far as I’m concerned, Art Ovation is the most perfectly located hotel in Sarasota. Step outside and you’re within walking distance of theaters, galleries, outstanding restaurants and the bayfront. There’s simply no better place to stay.

Now… a note for Marriott corporate. (And this is my rant at almost every Marriott property.)

When someone designs a Marriott bathroom, has that person ever actually stayed in one?

Our room had luxurious robes—but the bathroom had exactly one hook. One. The only towel racks were practically at toilet level, right next to the toilet. (Not exactly where I’d choose to hang my face towel.)

So after showering, where are guests supposed to hang a robe, bath towel and change of clothes? The floor?

Hooks. Towel bars. That’s it. This isn’t rocket science.

These are small things, but they’re the kind of practical details that separate a good room from a great one. Marriott’s bathroom designers would benefit from spending one night in the rooms they create.

Don’t let the bathroom design stop you from staying at Art Ovation. The people, the location, the art and Tzeva make it one of Sarasota’s true gems.

I liked the staff and cleanliness of the room.

Road tripping around FL and Sarasota was a must stop location. We found the hotel online and thought it looked good - we weren't disappointed! Friendly staff, comfy rooms, great water pressure in the shower!
Rooftop pool and bar was a nice spot to wind down after a day at turtle beach!

Such a great experience with John. His communication throughout the whole day was amazing. He provided us with places to go and stayed in touch throughout our day and evening. He is a true asset to Art Ovation. Thank you John you made our stay so special and easy. Patricia from NJ

I spent 5 lovely solo nights at The Art Ovation at the beginning of June. This will be another long post as I have many to recognize and thank for my wonderful stay.
Artem and Wes…your staff was, once again, outstanding. I was given the same room as last visit and I was so pleased to see the new headboard re-vamp…looks great! And it is my understanding that all rooms got a new headboard treatment.
Valet staff: Floyd, Sebastian, Tony, and Adam…I love you guys! Thank you for all you did for me during my stay.
Shuttle Drivers: Rich and David…these two drove me around Sarasota and ALWAYS opened and closed the van doors for me and made sure to lend an arm or hand to help me in and out of the van. I truly appreciated this gesture…every single time. And I met some cool kids that were a part of the Sarasota Music festival staying at the hotel. I dined at Don Luigi across the street. Took the shuttle other nights to dine at Hanami, Hyde Park Prime, and Ocean Prime.
Wei at Tzeva: so good to see you again. Thank you for your always gracious demeanor. And my breakfast was delicious.
Front Desk: Anamaria…always a hello and remembering my name. Also Ludemila, Hivah (not sure of spellings), Clarence, Tyler and Gabi. You all make a great team.
Gallery Lounge: Bartender Tom. I so appreciate you and our conversations regarding our elder family members. Yendry, it was nice meeting you!
Perspective Rooftop bar: Kristen…always a pleasure…you keep a nice bar. Bar back Martin…best to you with your ‘Circus’ projects…very cool.

I stayed at the Art Ovation for two weeks as part of the Sarasota Music Festival, and we took advantage of the shuttle service very often to get us to where we needed to go. I am very grateful to the kind, friendly, and patient drivers that we had the pleasure of meeting- John, Richie, Jim, Adam, and David were all part of what made my stay in Sarasota so much fun.

I had a great time at the hotel. All of the staff were incredible and helpful. David, Rich, Jim, and ALL of the shuttle drivers were especially helpful. I also appreciated Gabriella’s help at the front desk.

Our stay at Art Ovation was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. The front desk staff, management and valet made our stay so comfortable and easy. Sebastian especially made our trip one we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. He genuinely cared about us having a great experience and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Sebastian and everyone at Art Ovation for making this the best anniversary/birthday yet. We can’t wait to come back!

Jim, our shuttle driver, was an amazing host. He made our trip much better with local advice and welcoming demeanor. He took us to Lido Beach which was an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much sir.

Good service! They were kind and fast

Hotel was great with plenty of great amenities live music. The shuttle van was great to and from the beach and St Armands circle. John our driver was outgoing and made us laugh the whole time. The experience was great for the whole trip. Room was clean and exceptional.

Big shout out to the shuttle drivers! John, Richie & Jimmy! The girls loved having you guys cruise us around Sarasota! See ya next year!

Fantastic hotel with exceptional pool area and pool staff. Room was comfy with large shower and bathroom. Location is also very good.
