Good location and really comfortable and cosy

Spacious rooms, nice garden and lovely breakfast buffet
Mould growing in the bathroom, mixed experience with staff. Dinner service was extremely slow, we waited 45mins for our food and it was very salty including from the childs menu
Great location for walks, very friendly and accommodating staff. Went with my dog, who got treats and props for her stay. The room was very spacious and the food in the restaurant and bar were delicious. Really happy with my stay, will definitely come back!

Difficult to open windows. Thick layer of dust above curtains. Bathroom ceiling window needed cleaning and handle to reach to open. A fridge would be useful. Pillows were hard.

Very long wait for main course of dinner. 30 - 45 mins after we'd finished our starters.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, food good (perhaps not great but better than expected). In all, very good value at the price.

The pillows were like bricks, so hard I had to throw them off of bed.
Comfy bed good breakfast, reasonably quite, lication was great, staff generally smiley faces, the superior room was small.
Lack of a guest lounge, very dark space for the bar area.
Public areas including reception (part of the bar?), carpet very dirty, first impressions not great.
Outside areas require a lot of attention.
Breakfast Selection was fantastic, staff really friendly. Restaurant food was also very good and the Hotel location is in the heart of the New Forest

Several things not on menu when we arrived
Beautiful old style hotel with great amenities.
Breakfast was good, full English and fruits. The location near brockenhurst is convenient. Garden is pleasant. Radio in room is a nice touch.
No hairdryer in room. Despite asking one at front desk, they were not able to help. Receptionist also manages the bar so check in and trying to sort issues took a long time. Mattress was very old, had no give and uncomfortable. The towels had a strong chlorine smell
Room stuffy in summer heat and window was jammed. Rooms facing road have traffic noise. Bikes were not available in the hotel despite it being half term.
Lovely room, excellent location, beautiful garden. AC served us well in 30+ degree weather.
Breakfast focuses on heavy, cooked food, and they do well there. However fewer light options, for example no salad tomatoes or cucumbers. Beautiful, peaceful garden, but sometimes they decide to turn the music on there for no reason. Room window had not been cleaned in ages and had spider webs, but otherwise it was clean.
