Beautiful old building where rooms have been renovated nicely. Very friendly staff
Not their fault but was warm in the heatwave. Had a fan in the room to be fair
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was very nice.
Good location and a very warm welcome.Staff were most helpful with luggage support, information and help.
Lovely ,helpful Staff .We stayed there because we were attending a wedding in a venue just beside it .
The food was delicious .
Everything was good .
Beautiful historic building in a great location.
Needed a mirror in the main bedroom near a plug for hair drying. Kitchen extractor fan outside our bedroom window was noisy until 11pm and started up again at 7.30am.
Great atmosphere with lovely rooms and excellent food
Food was excellent. One evening meal in particular was exceptional. Bar atmosphere was lively with good quality beers.
Bedroom very comfortable and shower/bath was brilliant.
Nature of the building means no air conditioning so bedrooms were uncomfortably hot, but it was during a heatwave!
Three location was great. Very close to a stately home we wanted to visit. The village was very beautiful. The pub itself and rooms were immaculate. A lot of thought had gone into the details.
Breakfast was very expensive. Dinner was worth it.... but a bowl of Granola and yoghurt is not. So only had breakfast here 1 morning.
Beautiful old buildings, listed and very well done; good bar, restaurant, outside areas to eat and drink. Staff outstanding and food very high quality generally. Rooms comfortable and well furnished, bathroom and shower excellent
Despite the above, I feel it’s pricey for what you get especially as breakfast not included
People were outstanding
Nothing!
Perfect location for Penshurst place, great breakfast, room was comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly
For a slightly older couple the walk up to 2nd floor was a challenge
Un petit hôtel comme on les aime, dans une belle campagne environnante, même sous la pluie. Un endroit bourré de charme de style cottage anglais un peu vintage. La restauration est simple et de qualité. Le personnel est très accueillant.
On recommande sans hésitation.

The Location was perfect as we were attending a wedding at Penshurst Place. The Pub overall was OK and the staff especially Tom very helpful. However, we were staying 3 nights and expected a reasonable room - this was not the case as we were at the back with the kitchen just below our window. On a plus point the food was perfectly acceptable and breakfast adequate. As a tip maybe the rooms on the front roadside are cooler - as my Father In Laws room Daffodil was cooler.
Having been allocated the room Lavender - our first nights sleep was interupted by noise from the kitchen including clear down after hours. Not the Hotels fault but our stay coincided with a heatwave. The temperature in the room unbearable and I do mean unbearable. Tom very kindly re allocated us a different room on the same floor for the next 2 nights. Alas it was also above the kitchen and had a double roof fan making a hell of a noise - so we now had that to contend with ( room Golding ). in our Family we had many rooms all of them inadequately ventilated / cooled. The stand alone fans merely pushing the warm air around. 3 sleepless nights not ideal.
