Lovely hotel, very clean & lovely, helpful staff. Food was excellent, if a little pricey.
We had booked through Booking.com for 3 nights only to be told that we would have to change rooms after 2 nights as room we were in had been previously booked. Not exactly happy about having to move but other room was equally good.
Had a walk in Saturday evening dinner .
Simple menu , staff were very friendly and attentive .
Good flavours , and reasonably priced.
Can recommend Cullen skink , steak and fish course.
View across the bay is worth the visit .
Warm and comfortable dinning room.
Would return.
lovely staff, spacious quiet room, the perfect spot to roam around the isle of skye
WiFi instable, especially when heavy weather hits, made planing a little bit of a gamble
This hotel is disgusting and certainly in my opinion is less than a 1 Star rating. I would rate it as Minus 10. We stayed at this hotel in June 2026. I can't believe I paid $654.00 Canadian per night for a total of $1308.00 Canadian for 2 nights. It wasn't even worth $25 per night. Firstly, the room was not cleaned after our first night. Towels were still on the floor. Sink was not cleaned. The rug is totally disgusting in the whole room with stains and dirt. Shower stall had mold in it and was dirty and looked liked it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Bed skirt was all frayed and shredded. Water cups were not replaced after use. The phone did not work. I could go on but I think management really needs to review the state of the rooms and the cleanliness of the rooms. Very very disappointed with this hotel.
Overall experience disappointing food very average not good value for money. At times limited staff especially at breakfast poor woman was completely run off her feet! We were in the Bonnie Lodge which had only recently opened all very new & comfortable. The main hotel looked a little tired staff were all very friendly.
Far too expensive for at three star hotel
My husband and I recently stayed at the Broadford Hotel for two nights, as part of a wider break in the Highlands, and it was a highlight of our trip!
We're Scottish but had never been to Skye before and we couldn't have had a warmer welcome.
Our room was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. We did dinner on both nights and found everything to be excellent, generously portioned and the wines available by the glass were really good too. Breakfast was also great - with high quality produce and friendly service, and the lovely view in the restaurant capped everything off.
I've read a few negative reviews of this hotel. I think its a real shame - small hotels in the Highlands and Islands are never going to offer cocktail glasses in the rooms and may not have lifts and bellhops or counter fridges or some of the other bells and whistles of big city, high-end chain hotels. There might be twisty-turny stairs. You might need to carry your own bag. That's just the reality. And yes, the price will be high, because that's the market based on supply and demand in the spring / summer season. But I would say this is outweighed by the warmness and authenticity of the Broadford and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Breakfast was excellent staff were friendly and just loved the hotel
All was good

This was the letter sent to the Managment during our stay....and their response is attached as well.

Dear Sir,
Subject: Formal Complaint – Suite Accommodation Falling Short of Advertised Standard
Bradley,
I am writing to formally express my serious dissatisfaction with the suite accommodation provided during our recent stay at your property, for which we paid £1694 for a three night stay from May 17-20.
The room was advertised as offering “all the facilities you’ll need to enjoy a warm and comfortable stay” – a standard we found to be significantly and disappointingly unmet.
Upon checking in, it became immediately apparent that the suite lacked a number of basic appointments one would reasonably expect at this price point. Specifically, we noted the following deficiencies in the thought process of designing and appointing this “suite”:
• No coffee table or end tables adjacent to the seating area....anywhere to set a drink or cup down onto.
No plates, cutlery or corkscrew provided
• No coffee maker or bar fridge provided.
No suitable wine or cocktail glasses.
Bare walls bereft of any reasonable artwork.
• The bed was fitted without a headboard.
• The bathroom offered no dedicated surface or shelving for toiletries, nor was there a toothbrush cup or a box of tissues supplied.
• The makeup area lacked a magnified mirror.
• The television is restricted to basic channels with no access to streaming services of any kind.
These are not minor inconveniences – they represent a clear failure to deliver the standard of comfort and amenity that your own marketing promises and that any guest paying a premium rate would rightfully expect, especially from this price point.
We feel this stay represented very poor value for the considerable sum charged, and we are left with a strong sense of having been misled by the hotel’s advertising. This is not the experience we anticipated, nor one we are prepared to accept without a formal response. So disappointed are we, that we are opting to leave a day earlier than expected in favor of going elsewhere.
We would ask that you investigate this matter as a matter of urgency and provide, in writing, an explanation for the shortcomings outlined above. We would also welcome a discussion regarding appropriate redress – whether in the form of a partial refund.
We look forward to your prompt response.
Yours faithfully,
Bob Thornton 🇨🇦
Mgmnt Response:
Good Day Mr Thornton.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your stay with us.
I am sorry to hear that the aspects of the suite listed did not meet your expectations and this has affected your overall experience during your visit. We do appreciate all guest feedback and will review your comments carefully with the team. While some of the amenities referenced are not standard features within this suite category, we absolutely appreciate and understand your comments regarding the overall comfort and presentation of the room, and I can assure you that this will be taken on board as part of our ongoing review of the guest experience.
I also note your comments regarding your consideration of departing earlier than planned, and I am sorry to hear that you felt disappointed during your stay. If you do choose to leave earlier I will absolutely approve a refund for the day that you have opted not to stay. Please let us know and we can have that processed for you.
Thank you again for bringing your concerns to our attention. Your feedback is highly valuable to us, and we have taken it on board. I do hope you enjoy the remainder of your stay and your time on Skye.

Breakfasts and dinners at the Broadford were exceptionally good. We stayed in the Bonnie Lodge, separate from the older main hotel, and had a very quiet room which was most comfortable. The setting of the property, looking out over the water, was wonderful. The staff most helpful and we were offered lots of help before arrival and during our stay.
Nothing.
Conveniently located on a main road in the Isle of Skye and across the street from a Co-Op Supermarket, this hotel offers comfort and a good breakfast. Friendly staff, easy to make a reservation & parking spots make this a great place to stay near Portree.
Quarto muito grande, excelente, banheiro ótimo!
Não tem elevador e tem escada dentro do quarto.
Beautiful property and a great location. The room was large, comfortable, elegant and quiet. The staff were very friendly and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We absolutely loved our stay at the Broadford!
The bath was good and the staff were lovely. Location was good with nice views and close to amenities. Plenty of parking.
Pillows weren’t great. Rooms were quite hot. The hotel was pricey as were the food and drinks. Would’ve liked more options for dinner and local beers. WiFi didn’t work.
