No Halal food options, also the lady who served us breakfast was not very nice and didnt want to help out with the halal food.
Definitely not worth the money paid, the food was delayed a lot for breakfast and it was bad, we ended up having an upset stomach.
La longe accogliente ed elegante, buona la posizione, camera comoda e pulita, fornita di buoni prodotti per il bagno.
Non c’è l’ascensore,quindi le valigie bisogna portarle a mano; ovviamente abbiamo chiesto che le portassero su loro, perché troppo pesanti per noi. La colazione è alla carta, tutto buono, ma contato( abbiamo dovuto chiudere altre cose, perché pur essendo in due, la porzione iniziale era per giusta per una persona); naturalmente hanno aggiunto ciò che chiedevamo, però è seccante doverlo fare.
Rapporto qualità-prezzo non adeguato. Abbiamo pagato l’equivalente di 600€ a stanza per giorno con colazione inclusa, ma un prezzo adeguato, tenendo conto di tutti gli altri hotel di pari livello in Scozia dove siamo stati, avrebbe dovuto essere della metà.

The person running the dining facilities, Robin I believe, did an amazing job as his experience in the food and restaurant space shined throughout. Breakfast was soooo good. The food was always fresh and service was prompt and with a genuine smile. We ate dinner there one evening as well... probably one of the best in the area. Again, service staff were awesome and this helped make our experience that much better.
I am not one to say many negative things, but please be aware of ROOM 25 (or it may have been 26). We arrived around 6pm and checked into both rooms (one for our kids, the other for us). I initially smelled what I thought was refuse, but it lessened as we were running out to dinner. Upon our return, there was no hint of a smell, but a full-out smell of sewage. This room is above three restrooms in the lobby and it seems that they vent out directly into ROOM 25's bathroom. It was so noxious, that we left immediately and after the front desk clerk came up to witness this herself, she moved us to the only free room available. The hotel did upgrade us from that room for the rest of our stay, but I had heard from others that this was not a one-off issue. They need to jet-clean the vents and fix this for future guests. Please note, the staff were MORE than attentive and helpful, and I would definitely return to this hotel. One room issue does not make a place uninhabitable. The Staff, the facilities, and the overall value this all creates far outweighs this one hiccup. Outside of this, it would be a 10 !

A comfortable hotel 5 minutes walk from downtown Portree. Clean mid-sized rooms with air conditioning. The hotel restaurant is expensive with fairly good food. Service was very good.
Beautiful, clean, and modern hotel with lovely garden. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. The rooms were a good size and plenty of modern amenities. It was the best sleep I had in Scotland thanks to no noise and black out curtains. Staff were helpful. We had a problem at breakfast when the cook never showed up and we had a tour to get to. Staff were apologetic, but we waited ages for "to go" boxes. They apologized, but didn't make amends. Also ate dinner at the hotel. Food was good, but definitely on the expensive side.
This hotel is a 5 minute walk outside of town and is well staffed and comfortable.
We stayed in a room that was outside the main part of the hotel. We didn’t spend much time there and it was comfortable enough.
The restaurant was good- I enjoyed the breakfast we had every morning. Dinner is a little pricey, but every waitress we had was wonderful.
There was one instance that was a little upsetting. We had just paid £180 for dinner and asked for two martinis as a night cap to take to our room.
The bar tender set them down and we began to get up to leave. He loudly asked ‘Did you already pay?’ And we explained yes, we had told the waitress we wanted these to go.
He immediately went over and loudly said ‘did they pay? They’re leaving…’ to be treated this way after spending 1600 USD for three nights and 180 GBP for dinner was a wee bit off putting. He was welcome to ask the waitress but to be so loud and accusatory was unnecessary. This removed a star for me.
