My husband and I stayed at Callas House a few weeks ago and had a wonderful experience. This charming boutique hotel is located within a beautiful building filled with old-world character. We were very pleased with the room, convenient location, excellent value and customer service, as well as with delicious breakfast. A special thank you to Ildiko at the front desk, who took the time to share the fascinating history of the building, the movies that have been filmed at the restaurant and who truly made our stay extra special! We enjoyed three nights at Callas House and it was the perfect find. It is a unique stay in Budapest, with exquisite old-world charm but in a good way. The rooms are decorated with a classical style yet feature all the modern comforts (Nespresso machine, minibar, plentiful storage, safe etc).
We booked a room which featured a small terrace which didn’t have the best view but was a nice touch regardless.
The rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean.
Breakfast is on the ground floor at the Callas Restaurant, so you do have the exit the building and walk around the corner (it’s literally 15 meters or so facing the Opera house). The restaurant is closed to the public for breakfast so it’s only hotel guests.
The location is so perfect, right near the Opera metro stop, plenty of restaurants and bars as well as the amazing Opera House itself.
Overall, a unique and great hotel in central Budapest - highly recommended.
I had a lovely stay in Callas House. Check in was amazing with Irica. She was so helpful in explaining all the details of my room. The hotel is old fashioned but the rooms are large and have all the requisite amenities. The bed was very comfortable and my room faced the beautiful Opera house. The breakfast was included and was very with a variety of breads and scrambled eggs with sausage. The hotel is central and located very close to the Basilica as well as shopping area.
Amazing nugget in Budapest next to the Opera House. 20 some rooms with great historic charm. Service was an A+....they went above and beyond to make things special.

Tout était parfait
Lokalizacja znakomita, wszędzie blisko, a jeśli daje, to stacja metra znajduje sie obok wejścia do hotelu. Codziennie wymiana ręczników, woda, kawa, herbata dostępne w pokoju. Pokój mały (mieszkaliśmy na poddaszu, IV piętro), ale bardzo wygodny i zupełnie wystarczający na kilkudniowy pobyt. Bardzo troskliwa i miła obsługa.
Śniadania odrobinę monotonne, codziennie ten sam zestaw. Czystość w pokoju mogłaby być lepsza.
