Wij verbleven hier op de dag van onze bruiloft en zijn erg goed ontvangen door alle staff in het hotel (Ziggy en werknemers van de receptie). Ook hebben we een kleine shoot in het hotel mogen doen wat super mooi is geworden! We hadden geen betere hotel kunnen kiezen voor deze gelegenheid.

- Room was much smaller than the photo implied - in the photo it had a sofa infront of the bed expressing a spacious vibe. Our particular room had no space at all for a sofa, and a large pillar took up a lot of space meaning it seemed v small for the price and the expectation based on the photo presented on Booking for this room.
We raised this with reception by phone who told us that "all rooms are the same floor size" and "you can upgrade to a bigger room, for a fee of Xamount". This was not acceptable so we asked for some comp or free upgrade. We missed the call back to the room as we were in the spa and didn't want to upset the day anymore by demanding reception sort it out.
- The next day we were informed they tried to call ( no text or email however ), but we were offered a resolution and the staff on reception the next day were extremely nice and helpful.
- The spa is area has no view, no windows, no plants and not much atmosphere - which is, to be fair, as represented in photos, but I found it a bit disappointing. Some people may like the sparse-ness however. The pool, sauna and steam all worked so that is good.

Clean, quiet, great location, truly a five-star hotel experience. Classy, elegant facilities. We were upgraded to a top-floor Superior Room that was spacious and excellent in every way. High points for robes that fit normal people, unlike almost every European hotel I have stayed in. Wi-fi could have been faster and the room service menu needs more variety. The Pestana Amsterdam was one of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed in, and the bed was fantastic -- quite firm, and they offer a pillow menu. All in all, 10/10 experience.
People often think that a five-star hotel means just an excellent room, but it involves every aspect of the experience. We arrived about an hour early, and our room was ready. None of that "Come back when check in starts" nonsense. The process was smooth and efficient. There is a salon at the front of the property that is beautiful and peaceful as well. And it doesn't smell like a hotel, which is part of it. They got everything right here.
