I'm okay with services being basic but whatever is provided should work and be clean and functional
Pros:

We enjoyed our dinner and the service was great.

Cons:

Rooms very old and not sure if they were clean. Very small room. No tea or milk even though we thought we were getting. No soap in the bathrooms. The blind didn't work. Very dim light in the bathroom meant couldn't see in the mirror and with the blind in the bedroom not being able to be raised, there was not enough daylight in the room to put on makeup. My brothers room was similar - their shower head was held on with cable ties and only sprayed water against the wall. We had a very noisy neighbour who talked loud and long into the night and again very early in the morning.

Misleading "hotel" description
Pros:

Nice hotel but room was 5 minutes down the road in a shared flat ?!

Cons:

Room was not within the hotel itself.
Bathroom was not within the room ( en suite ) all facilities were in the actual hotel not in an upstairs flat ( shared more like an HMO property ) with other guests in the other rooms. If I had known that in advance I would not have chosen the hotel. Bathroom floor tiles all cracked, mirror dangling on a bit of string , no smoke alarm in room, room was tired and dated.

Good value central accommodation although not exactly as expected for an en-suite room
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful

Cons:

The bathroom was not en-suite. We had to leave the room and go through the shared hallway to get to our dedicated bathroom.

I will return on holiday next summer
Pros:

Stewart and family was absolutely amazing, we just love them so much. If your in the mood for a holiday you must make The Orchard Hotel your number one acomadations spot.

Pros:

Basic, but clean, and unexpectedly there was a mini fridge in the room. Good location for visiting both Kelpies and the wheel. Was worried about the possible noise from the pub downstairs, but that wasn't an issue.

I was trapped in the house!!!

The room is located in a shared house, which is probably okay, however appears to be pricey for this type... Why facilities located in annex and not the main building?! There was no WiFi, staff tried to help, however without any result. No WiFi nowadays?... It was not the worst part, when I was trying to leave around 0700am, the 'common' door was locked and it could not be open from the inside!! There was another guest, who tried to help me, however we both could not open the door! Thinking how unsafe it was I had a panick attack. I found a number of Zoe (whoever she is, probably landlady?) and called her and explained the situation, as the pub obviously was closed as it was too early. About 20mins after we were 'rescued' by one of the hotel stuff, and I run in tears, and had a very big stress. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS DOOR!!! IT'S UNSAFE TO BE TRAPPED WITH NO OPPORTUNITY TO LEAVE! I guess the lock was broken from our side, as I found park of the lock, however it was still impossible to unlock it. Absolutely unacceptable, what if it was a fire?! Would I need to jump from the window? My whole day was ruined by this situation, I was crying a lot and now have a fear of staying in similar places, as I could be locked!!!

Ok per una notte ma pulizia da rivedere..
Pros:

Ok, se si ha un low budget per dormirci una notte e poi andare via. La struttura si trova sopra un pub, comodo per chi arriva e vuole mangiarsi un boccone. Con possibilità anche di lasciare l’auto nel parcheggio. I ragazzi che lavorano lì sono carini e accoglienti.

Cons:

Per arrivare alla nostra camera abbiamo dovuto fare due rampe di scale strette e ripide.. la camera appena sufficiente, la pulizia generale scarseggia, le lenzuola erano anche macchiate e c’era solo un asciugamano a disposizione per fare tutto!
