Comfortable stay
Pros:

Pros:

Very friendly, helpful staff, great food, very clean, comfortable beds, fridge in room with wayer and irn bru, very close to town, railway, shops

Cons:

As it was hot, we had to keep the windows open and it was very noisy especially on Friday and Saturday night. There was no fan in the room, one of the wall sockets was loose and the sink had no plug.

The place was friendly. Staff very helpful. Bed was comfy, Food tasty.

Cons:

The shower room (room 3) needs replaced. The mould round the window was awful and the shower wasn't the best. Its on a main road and we had a room onto the front, so was very noisy. Public bar is right under the room we were in. Plus the doors in the lobby were very squeeky, so you heard comjng and going all the time. It did for the 2 nights but I was glad to get back home to my own place. Nice atmosphere but just to noisy for us.

Pros:

The hotel has a very polite and helpful staff, has nice surroundings, very good hospitality and good food at pub below as well, overall a wonderful place to stay if you are travelling to Falkirk or highlands

Not as expected. Disappointing.
Pros:

Five minute walk to the railway station.

Cons:

The advertised description as a “4-Star Hotel” (as seen on Google Maps, which I used to find a hotel near the railway station, but not seen on Booking.com) is obviously a typographical error; but a serious error that should be corrected, quickly. On arrival, I signed in at the public bar in the pub and was then conducted across the road to a tenement annex where my room could be more reasonably be described as “One of several student flats sharing a communal self-catering kitchen”. My bathroom was in the hall, where I had to leave and lock my room when I went for a shower or to use the toilet. I was probably the only person in the property that night; I didn’t see any other guests and there certainly were not any staff in attendance. I was unable to get any breakfast as “ the chef does not come on duty until 10 a.m.”. For checkout, I just left my keys with the cleaner.

Staff in the pub were great but I wouldn’t stay there again
Pros:

Staff were great. Didn’t realise the room was across the road. Was taken round the back of this building and it looked a mess rubbish everywhere and bars on the ground floor windows I was thinking where we being taken. Food in the hotel was good though

Cons:

No pressure on hot water tap in en suite. We were in the loft and the smoke alarm had been taken down and there was no fire alarm in this building. Furniture and room very basic but suppose that’s why it was cheap. I wouldn’t stay here again
