Location
Not good value for money
Totally disappointed to find out that we had to pay for parking at £8 per day. Our room certainly didn’t feel like the price we had paid for
The breakfast was very nice, everything you needed was there. The staff were really nice and friendly.
The food in the evening certainly needs looking at, as it wasn’t particularly nice to eat.
The rooms need updating and the seating in the bar areas need a deep clean,
We stayed for 3 nights bed and breakfast. The breakfast was very fresh and very tasty. This hotel is lovely and based in the centre of Llangollen. We were able to walk to all the main attractions pubs and restaurants. We parked our car in the hotel carpark for an additional fee but it was worth it. We loved walking along the river Dee and the canal.
Location good. Parking fee expensive
Breakfast dire.
The hotel is in a great central location, making it easy to find and convenient for exploring Llangollen on foot. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the stay.
Parking costs £8 per 24 hours (June 2026), which is convenient given the town-centre location.
The hotel itself feels old and tired and could benefit from some updating. There is no lift, which may be an issue for guests with heavy luggage or limited mobility. The bathroom was less impressive. The shower is positioned over the bath, making access difficult for some guests, and it was hard to maintain a consistent water temperature. Anyone with mobility issues may find the bathroom particularly challenging.
Location
We booked before December and it included free parking ! When we arrived they told me we needed to pay £16 for parking 😡
The best thing was the location to the pavillion. Hotel needs modernising. The room was like a sweat box. No air con available. Parking not a guarantee even if you pay for it.
The room was too hot no air con, needs some money spent on rooms etc
The location was within walking distance to the venue
Could have had reserved parking for hotel guests
Choice of breakfast continental which was great
During heatwave unbearably warm in room on 3rd floor. Fan in room would have been a big plus.
Hot items were deep fried on the Breakfast - the hashbrowns were soggy with fat and the sausages split open from being immersed in hot oil. It was obvious the sautéed mushrooms were past fresh before rvem cooking them; they were still cooked and served nevertheless. For £14.95 you'd expect a lot lot better. My friend had continental which was great but apple juice had turned rancid
Was a handy location to the pavilion
Shower was poor quality the place looked a bit drab
Was shocked that my friend of 47 was told to go to his room because he was a little bit loud at the bar at 11.30om
there was not a lot of choice
not a lot
The outside area was nice
Some staff appeared rude at times
Location
Rooms are in need of refurbishment
Temperature was far too hot in room and no fans available from reception or any assistance given to try and help keep the room cool.
Shower did not work properly, no power or heat and lots of rust around the taps and shower head
Excellent location, lovely breakfast, friendly staff, quite clean
In need of a lick of paint and redecorating
