It was ok, near the centre of town so not far to walk.
Someone's clothes were under the bed so it hadnt been thoroughly cleaned.
Location and Breakfast was of good quality
Didn't use shower, shower head in desperate need of a clean. Room TOO hot, pillows were too thin or other option too thick and lumpy. Photos of rooms used on Booking.com looked quite modern but ours was extremely dated had we slept or at least been comfortable that wouldn't have mattered for just one night stay. Hotel areas dated, dusty and in need of TLC sadly. Thick duvet on bed in this current barmy heat, no fan. Party of over excited blokes who took over the hotel and were extremely loud !! Constant noise outside under room window which we had to leave fully opened as the heat in room was unbearable., Around midnight someone (loud and drunk) who had wrong room tried to barge our door to get in our room then loud voices /noise next door. Noise till around 1AM when it finally went quiet !! Breakfast room loud even heard a member of Breakfast staff comment to one of them how loud they were night before. Thankful only one night booked as Saturday nights live entertainment.
£8 additional charge for parking so overall premium price for an extremely uncomfortable stay.
Location
Room information was out of date. Broken glass in the window. Window opened very wide - enough to fall out (on 2nd floor)
Location close to shops, restsurants and bars on high street. Bed comfortable, made up each day, towels changed daily
Breakfast expensive we ate out.
Bathroom door very close to shower door when opened.
Drinks were trayed over the road to beer garden. Stairs to room were problematic. Terrible noise from pipes in adjoining rooms when showers in use
Great location, lovely hotel !
The location was spot on. The staff was friendly. Good entertainment. Comfortable room, good breakfast.
The bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned properly, there was hair and pubes on it.
The room door didnt lock properly, there was only one screw in the receiver plate so you could just push the door open.
And i thought the parking fee was steep at £8, free parking should be included in the stay or a greatly reduced rate.
Lovely old building. Impeccably clean. Great location.
Nothing.
Breakfast was fine and a helpful staff member
Parking,£8 for overnight, no space really awful. Beds were the worst we have ever experienced
ds worse ever slept in
Location
Cleanliness of the place, especially the bathroom floor! Decor very outdated and the smell of stale smoke. Also dogs sat on outside benches eating food from the table. Poor organisation at breakfast time eg no glasses for juice had to wait until they had dried coffee/ tea machine not filled up either.
Location is ideal. Beer garden/terrace is really nice. Dog friendly. Bar is cheap enough for a tourist hotspot.
Hotel is showing its age, could really do with some TLC. Staff were fine but got the impression they couldn't be bothered. Wearing air pods whilst working the bar seemed a bit odd. Very noisy when traffic is in the corridor. Bed was uncomfortable, but that's personal preference, personally I prefer a firmer mattress, which most hotels don't have.
Nice clean room but need refresh shower room
Was same staff the reception and a bar, so waiting longest for a drink
Great location, fab sun terrace, large car park, good band on Saturday evening, pretty good breakfast.
No power in the shower, poor pillows, soft bed, miserable staff.
Central
Breakfast fine. Evening meal not brilliant
Great location, the staff were excellent and the service was very good. A good breakfast although a bit wanting on fresh fruits
Hotel and room were a bit tried and dated
Location was brilliant . Room was very basic .
Bed not comfortable. Breakfast very low standard . The bacon needed refilling . Beans were dry from keeping warm. Fried eggs were half cooked . No fruit salad . The hotel needs someone to keep on top of breakfast and check the quality and availability of everything .
Bed was comfy.
The whole hotel needs updating. The staff need training and the price needs to be lowered considerably for what is essentially a 1 star possibly 2 star hotel.
Breakfast was mediocre at best. Just really isn’t a great hotel and the price is eye watering for what you get.
Location to the Eisteddfod and staff were very helpful
no air conditioning or fans. Also Booking .com quoted me a price over 100 GBP less than I was charged. I believe this was a fault at Booking.com not adding VAT
