It could have been better!
Pros:

It’s been my 2nd visit…Location is great and having said that,if it wasn’t for the handy location right at the heart of town,i wouldn’t be back.

Cons:

I was given a much more modest double bedroom compared to the 1st visit which I liked the most;at least it was eerie quiet bonus.Blow dryer stopped working within seconds had staff to replace it.The radiator again not working!

This hotel is in a great location for making trips out of Bradford.
Pros:

The architecture of the hotel building is beautiful, it is in a good location with the Bradford Forster Square train station right next door which we used each day to travel outward from Bradford to Bingley, Saltaire and Keighley. Our main reason for staying in Bradford was to take a trip out to Haworth for the Bronte Parsonage Museum.
The room and shower facilities at the hotel were very good.
A special mention to Matt the barman in the brasserie who was very accommodating when we were told that the meal we booked on arrival was to be in the brasserie rather than in the dining room. He set up our table and was courteous and efficient when serving us our meal.

Cons:

My husband and I booked and paid for a meal for Saturday night on our arrival on Thursday. We were told by the lady receptionist to show the coupon to the staff in the dining room on the night, which we duly did. Despite others eating in the dining room we were informed by a staff member in the dining room that we would be eating in the brasserie. We protested that we were to eat in the dining room, still we were refused with no explanation given. We were the only people eating in the brasserie, except for people ordering drinks from the bar. In addition, there was a wedding in the ballroom on the first floor and the noise from children running on the stairs and the music coming from the ballroom could all be heard in the brasserie, as it is in an open area on the ground floor. This did not lend itself to having a peaceful meal. Matt, the barman was the only saving grace in this situation as he was very courteous and efficient.
We were not very impressed with Bradford as a city. Walking the streets away from the hotel you witnessed the deprivation referred to about the city of Bradford.

Lovely hotel & friendly staff. It was like stepping back in time when you walked into the foyer.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Midland Hotel, see you next year
Pros:

We visit annually whilst attending a conference and we got upgraded for free which was good. The location is so convenient and we managed to get a car parking space which was fantastic.

Cons:

Our fridge had someone’s old food in it.
It wasn’t the poor girl on reception’s fault as she was really busy. The cleaning staff had overlooked it .

The staff were super helpful and friendly.

The building looks fantastic and has a great feel to it. Definite Howard’s vibes. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was really nice.
