We were on the south side of the hotel and it was very hot. Other than having AC I'm not sure what the hotel could do about that. A fan was provided, which was a help.
Centrally located grand old railway hotel, steeped in history and character. Our room was spacious with high ceilings a good bathroom and comfortable bed
The lack of air con in a heatwave made the room uncomfortably hot. High ceilings added to huge sash windows that only opened a couple of inches from the bottom but let in lots of sunlight contributed to the heat retention. The fan provided provided scant relief

Window in my room wouldn't stay open and bathroom window was painted shut. Fan provided but was too dusty to use. Some cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. Pillow too thick.
