Based on price, the hotel was nicer than expected. Decor and restaurant are lovely. Staff were helpful, our room was very good and breakfast and bar food were very nice.

A fine traditional city hotel with full service and its own carpark, useful in the city centre. Breakfasts are good here. Great location in the centre.

Our bed was old(mattress ) when you sit on it to get into bed it squashed to the base.
It was a very uncomfortable night . The pillows need replacing . We woke up with neck and back ache. We both looked rough this morning .

Booking in was straightforward the hotel offers good value. Parking is free which is a plus in a city centre hotel and the room was good, clean and comfortable. Ideally situated for contact with a friend.
Breakfast was not very inspiring. Arrived about 9am and told no fruit to go with yoghurt as it needs defrosting. In a hotel like this I would expect more variety, pastries etc. Fresh fruit salad with yoghurt would be nice. The staff were not very enthusiastic. The cooked breakfast was in buffet form which is OK except in this case it had clearly not been attended to and looked unappetising. A variety of bread would be an improvement.
