Good location for Wilson airport
No fridge or bath robes.
Comfy beds
Bit soul-less. Could have been anywhere. No Kenyan feel, pretty generic and corporate. Very overpriced average food restaurant.

Great location for Wilson Airport. Staff are excellent - clearly well-trained - friendly and efficient. Rooms are really good for Nairobi. Food is really good, especially breakfast, but evening meals were expensive.

Hotel was perfect stop in between safaris. Safe, comfortable , great gym, pool, and restaurant. Evelyn was a phenomenal server, very attentive to all of our needs. We will be back.

We have had a nice experience staying at the Tamarind Tree hotel. The breakfast is good, dinner buffet is also good. I recommend taking a trip to the Carnivore over your stay. Room service has been good, and the rooms are nice.
Our guide was Gerald / Gerard / Gerrard and he was very nice, a good driver and had loads of good information to share, and a good friend to talk with.

The buffet was great, with a wide variety of options, huge legs of smoked meats and some yummy vegetarian options too. And a huge dessert bar!

We (family of 4) stayed 2 nights at Tamarind Tree Hotel in the summer of 2026.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating, rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was really nice with omelettes on-demand.
We had booked a driver and car through the hotel concierge to take us sightseeing in Nairobi.
We got a nice and modern large MPV with a very friendly and knowledgeable driver called Gerald behind the wheel.
Gerald acted as our tour guide for the day and explained the various sights and history of Kenya to us. Great day!

Something I wish I had known earlier - the Tamarind Tree Hotel has guides ON SITE to take you and yours where you want to go - and/or your guide can suggest wonderful things to see. We used Gerald today for a tour of various Markets in town, a drive around of the Karen area, took a tour of the women's Bead Factory AND a drive through the Kibera Slums. Gerald is full of information, fun to learn from and the Slum drive though was an eye opener for our children - and for us. Highly Recommend!!! AND PS we had a big new comfortable van and his very very reasonable price for up to SIX people for FIVE house was a bargain. Wish I'd known this before booking some of the family on other Tour Guide trips -- way more $$$ and lots of time spent picking up others. Go for Gerald!!! The Hotel desk can arrange it in a second for you.
