Good Hotel. Good Staff. But avoid staying on Event days.
Pros:

Good hotel. Good breakfast. Generally a fairly young staff but ALL excellent, in reception, cleaning staff, bar staff and restaurant Have stayed here many times and there is no doubt it is very good. If you happen to book last minute it is exceptional value.

Cons:

If you book a room just check there isn’t an event. I.e. like a wedding with a very loud disco until midnight. I guarantee you will not sleep until events finish. Some guests were relocated to other James Places hotels. We were relocated to the top floor which was just about OK.

Pros:

The position of the hotel and the general enjoyment of the facilities.

Cons:

Having to pay extra for parking and the festival on Saturday which was very noisy.

Fantastic
Pros:

Amazing building! Fascinating history and beautifully conserved areas like the engine room of the former mill in the adjoining beer hall. Great breakfast in the stylish bistro area. Lovely friendly staff. Spacious, stylish, clean and comfortable rooms. Great location in the Holmes Mill complex in the centre of Clitheroe.
