Overall very acceptable and good value for money. Does what it says on the tin!
Pros:

Breakfast N/A. Location was good and overall the hotel was very presentable

Cons:

The bed was very uncomfortable and disappointing considering everything else exceeded expectations based on the price point

Overpriced for the quality of the rooms.

Good quiet break away
Pros:

The room was massive even though we had booked the small double room. Friendly staff. Check in straight forward. Breakfast was lovely.

Cons:

We had a meal in the restaurant. My pasta was absolutely delicious, but my husband didn’t care for his fish and chips, poor quality of fish and his chips were brick hard. He did say to staff who advised they would pass on the comment to the chef.

Shocking experience form this hotel, they take ur booking and then cancel it.
Cons:

They cancelled my booking the same day as I was checking in,1 of the busiest days of the year with the Black Isle’s show next day,I tried to find other accommodation but they were all booked,so had to stay with friends

Expensive stay in clean but run down old hotel- but cheaper than Inverness!
Pros:

Good location near to railway station, and clean room,

Cons:

Hotel is very run down, having had no money spent on it for many decades. Seems to be run with minimal staff, though my welcome was friendly enough. Very expensive for what it was- but at £80 it compared well with prices in Inverness in mid July, which almost make Edinburgh look reasonable.
