The shower was lovely.
The carpets in our room were very old and worn. Bird poop on the inside of the window. There was a weird smell but couldn't open the window to get in fresh air, thats when I spotted the bird poop. I felt the room dirty, I really didn't want to stay in it. It was very cheap and I suppose you get what you pay for but saying that I still would expect it to be cleaned properly. The chef was on holiday so no hot breakfast was available. I would not stay here again.
Spacious room, well ventilated, very clean, good shower, friendly staff, great location, nice building
The bed was not very comfortable and one side was against the wall making it difficult to access. It wouldn't be a problem if only one person sleeping
Расположение в центре города. Хорошие цена/качество
Старая мебель, не было мест на парковке
The staff were an absolute highlight. They are the type of staff you would go back and stay at the hotel because of. Really really fantastic. Although we didn't get much instruction on how to find our room the rest of the time they were really friendly.
It was also relatively close Inverness
Finding reception was interesting, we kept finding locked doors. It would benefit from clear signage or instructions for check in.
The room did not meet my expectation. The photographs made it look more updated and spacious than it was. The decor was quite dated, the floor was very creaky, and the room was roasting! There also was a lack of plugs with accessibility.
We also found it quite loud
Not much
It was shabby, poorly maintained, noisy and hot. The carpet was stained in the bedroom.
The Brazilian chap who did almost everything, was cheerful, friendly and very industrious. We were cycling and he sorted out storage and charging for our bikes although it wasn't something that he was regularly asked about. The young lady in charge at breakfast was very pleasant, cheerful and helpful. The hotel is clearly run on a budget, but that was reflected in the price we paid. It served our purpose very well and represented very good value for money.
All okay.
Zentrale Lage. Stadtmitte umd Bahnhof gut erreichbar.
Central location, big and beautiful hotel, nice and comfortable rooms, pet friendly. Lots of parking available.
Wifi was not stable.
The National is in a good location in Dingwall, with most local amenities nearby. When we got there, there was no one in Reception, which had a sign to say we had to go next door to the bar/cafe where we met the manager. He was friendly and welcoming and explained the situation around food etc.
The food, whilst more of a bar snack standard, was actually tasty and enjoyable (the burger was good), and cooked by the manager I believe.
We were on the 2nd Floor and as we walked up the staircases, bizarrely the temperature just got hotter and hotter to the point where we were stood outside our door in stifling heat. When we went in our room, it was just as hot, and we found one of the radiators on as well. We were there for 2 nights, and had the window open wide the entire time, which then meant we had disturbed sleep due to traffic and the local drunken eejits howling at the moon.
When I spoke with the Manager about it the next day, even more bizarrely, he claimed not to know anything about it, when all he had to do was go up 2 sets of stairs and he would feel the stupid heat. It was uncomfortable and unbearable.
The staff were welcoming and friendly and the location was very handy for our purposes with plenty of free parking.
Room was a bit tired and the layout was awkward, the bed was quite hard and due to the position my partner felt very boxed in. This meant that we didn’t get a great nights sleep.
