GROUP POLICY: Any reservation of 10 people or more per night will be considered a group with different terms and conditions. Groups reservations can only be made through our reservations team, and Generator reserves the right to cancel it otherwise.
RESORT FEES: - High-speed WiFi - Access to 24hour fitness center which features Peloton bikes - Priority seating, based on availability, to F&B outlets - Access to game room When traveling with pets, please note that an extra charge of 75 USD per stay applies.
PET POLICY: We would welcome a dog on property but only when staying in a private room, and subject to a fee per dog per Stay. Only Dog under 75lbs./ 34kg.
For Advance Purchase rates/Non Refundable rates, we require the payment card used for booking to be presented upon check in.
AGE RESTRICTIONS: Individuals under the age of 18 can only stay at the Hostel when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the same room.
The room must be private.
Unaccompanied under 18's are not allowed to stay in shared rooms, unless they are part of a group that has booked out the entire shared room. The group leader must provide the required documentation to Generator. Failure to comply with these policies will result in automatic cancelation of the booking with no refund. Dissapointed
Pros:

The location was good

Cons:

There was an air conditioning coming out of the window that even turned off made a very intense sound so it was very hard to sleep. I could accept this if I was in a 3 star hotel paying a different rate but getting charged 450$ is not acceptable when there are this noises and the staff acknowledged it couldn’t go away and that all of the in-facing rooms have the same.

Pros:

Great location, nice rooftop for 21 years and older . Breakfast place was good .

Grungy hip hotel but a bit worn out

Staff very friendly

Cons:

My room had a damp musty smell, like a room that people had smoked in years ago, bed linen felt damp, rooms are hip in a grungy sense, clean but not my type of hotel. Overall it felt a bit worn out. No bathroom amenities such as make up wipes etc which for £335 a night and an empty mini bar with not even water felt a bit tight.

Convenient stay in a good area
Pros:

We choose the hotel since it was around the block for us to settle our daughter into her dorm.
Convenient with many delis and restaurants.The Madison square park and the 5 th Avenue are a 15 min walk.
Many fine dine restaurants at the square.
The subway is a walk and buses up to Chelsea to the Piers are nearby.

The hotel cafe and the roof bar are great to hang. Food at the cafe is yummy. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but it looked good.

The room was convenient. Bath was clean.

Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

We took the corner room that got a bit noisy with vehicles on the street at night.
The room size is much small for the charges. We also caught the peak time with the US open rush in the city.

La ubicación

Cons:

Habitación completamente oscura, sin luz natural, daba a un muro gris y para pagar 500€ la noche no estaba a la altura. Baño muy incómodo.

It was OK, no issues, clean but small and dark, but that is to be expected in NYC.
Pros:

This location was perfect for a conference I was attending. Staff was great and it was clean.

Cons:

The rooms and bathrooms are tiny, the bed was small for 2. The hallways are dark. It was fine for a few night stay.

Only in NYC can a property like this be called a 4 star property and charge a “resort” fee
Pros:

Location was good. The bunk bed on top of the queen bed meant a genuine room for 3 in NYC, which is rare.

Cons:

Dark and dingy corridors
AC not working well
Crazy that they charge a “resort” fee - all they offer is unlimited bottled water.
