Pros:

This is at best a cheap B&B
Pros:

Located close to seafront

Cons:

Extremely dated, tatty room. Not clean, broken sink, mould on bathroom wall. Unable to open window. Even though room was prepaid we left and found an alternative.

Wouldn’t recommend- just spend a little extra to stay somewhere comfortable and safe
Pros:

This is a neat old building and it’s the cheapest option I could find short notice. Surprisingly Good breakfast!

Cons:

Just felt drab and worn out. Everything— but the carpets especially —smelled of smoke. The bed and pillows were quite hard and uncomfortable. I suppose I should not have been surprised when at 2am the fire alarm went off and we all waited outside in the night for at least 5 or 10 minutes not knowing what to do until someone- I guess the owner or a manager??- came in, shut off the alarm, and “checked something out” before vaguely apologizing and saying it was safe now. Not highly reassuring except it did seem clear this is something that had happened before, as he was able to handle it himself without any fire dept intervention. No one said anything about it to us in the morning after we all passed a pretty awful night of sleep so I can’t say it was exactly great customer service. I’m very comfortable roughing it but this is probably the worst place I’ve ever paid more than $25 to stay at.

Good if you want to be near restaurants and cafes.
Pros:

Near restaurants and cafes. Nice breakfast.

Cons:

Narrow stairwells, rooms do not have towels when we checked in. Linens and towels littered the staircase and corridors during check in and check out timing. Street parking, weak shower pressure. Water not hot enough. Disgusting hairdryer feel

Very good position. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast

Cons:

The whole hotel could do with a spring clean and rooms repainted. The windows had black mildew along them and there were dead flies on the window on the stairs

L'emplacement est pratique. En plein centre. C'est vieillot mais c'était propre et pas cher. Basique. Bon petit déjeuner. Personnel sympathique. Ok pour 1 nuit

Awful service from hotel
Pros:

I spoke to 1 person on the day before we were due to stay who was quite friendly and helpful.

Cons:

I was messed around so much that I never got to stay at the hotel. We were moved to a cottage 8 miles out of town which was already occupied and ended up driving 4 hours home instead of staying in Aberystwyth. Day ruined!

Cons:

Stated desk help would be there until midnight and they weren’t. Awoken at 2:30 am by fire alarms and had to wait outside for some time before they were shut off. Beds not comfortable. Room was horribly hot.

Cons:

Zonas comunes del hotel mal mantenidas y con aspecto de suciedad. Acceso a la habitacion con escaleras estrechas y moqueta en mal estado. Sin aire acondicionado. Baño pequeño con suelo sucio. Habitacion sin armario, ventilacion escasa y cristales sucios. Alta demanda en la ciudad debido a la semana de las graduaciones, eso no justifica para el precio abusivo pagado por una habitacion familiar que no llega a los minimos.

A bit disapointing.
Pros:

Breakfast and location near the beach.

Cons:

Room was small compared to other hotels.
Room was very hot without air con made it difficult to sleep, due to this had to have the window wide open at night but people outside were very noisy as they walked by. Telephone didnt work. Toilet area and shower were small. Carpark was small only capable of parking for about 6 cars before being blocked in. Luckily we didnt need our car throughout our stay.
