Excellent stay! Thank you to the whole team.
Pros:

Fabulous family run hotel. Our room was really nicely decorated, and was very clean and comfortable. Food was great, in particular the cooked breakfast. The welcome and general friendliness of the staff were exceptional throughout our two night stay. Whether having breakfast, dinner or just a drink in the bar, the team were chatty and attentive. They made time for the guests and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. We would highly recommend this little gem and will definitely return.

Cons:

There’s nothing not to like. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

Good Hotel in nice location
Pros:

The location was perfect for the purpose of our visit to Castle Douglas ( visiting nearby restaurant). Easy free parking. Liked the new en suite, even though you had to navigate three steps to go down to it. Complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee and biscuits a nice touch. Drinks in bar were reasonably priced.

Cons:

Bed smaller than used to but not a great problem. Noisy extractor fan from kitchen below which started early in the morning. Thought a bit overpriced at £127, a night, which did not include breakfast.

nice for a short stay.
Pros:

location was perfect for us as we had a local wedding to go to, room was a good size, bathroom was lovely and had a heated towel rail which kept the bathroom warm, staff were friendly, breakfast was served to your table and was hot and plentiful, parking is right outside the door and its not busy.

Would absolutely stay again if I’m ever in the area.
Pros:

Staff were incredibly friendly. The room itself was also very modern and stylish and the downstairs area felt very comfortable and vintage - a best of both worlds.

Good place to stay overnight
Pros:

We stayed overnight on a cycle tour and were able to securely store the bikes inside. The room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent.
