Perfect Carlisle stop over for me, will definitely be back.
Pros:

Been to several events at this hotel but never stayed.
Everything from reception, standard of room, lovely breakfast came up to or exceeded expectations. Also excellent staff, couldn't be faulted. All round pleasant experience.

Cons:

Only there for one night, can't think of anything which could improve it.

Spoilt for two days
Pros:

Easily found with their directions. Centrally located for visiting castle and cathedral and other amenities. Lovely building with wonderful staircase.
Great facilities with such a good breakfast selection and friendly waiters to help.Big bonus is that it has a hot tub and pool,which is open early until late.
Reception check-in was easy, and is old world with a proper room key!! Room was good,with comfy bed and clean bathroom.Yes,we would go again as a base to visit Hadrians Wall.

Cons:

Not much to not like,except we had these wonderful large bath towels,but no proper rail to hang them on once used.And no shelf for putting toilet bag on. Could do with update on TV to a smart one!

Lovely place to stay in Carlisle, steps away from cathedral and market days - will return
Pros:

Lovely location in city Centre. Staff were genuinely happy to be there - greeted each other with smiles and jokes, hummed as they worked - very refreshing. Interesting architecture, spacious.

Cons:

A little run down, could use a bit more cleaning (carpets, grout, ceilings)

Pros:

Perfect town center location. Stayed here several times before and it is always enjoyable. A lovely grand old property. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Nice to have a bath as well as a shower after several days walking.
Will happily stay here again.

Always had a good stay here
Pros:

Parking, history, location, friendly staff at breakfast and a nice buzz of guests about to head off to do fun things for the day

Cons:

Nothing. The rooms aren’t super modern but you’re staying (for a decent price) in a place where Woodrow Wilson once stayed so that’s pretty cool.
