Situated central to town centre, very pleasant staff at breakfast
Not able to eat in the evening
Location, price and free eV charger
Shower in room 304 didn't really work so had a bath instead.
Lovely club room, glad we upgraded. Nice and spacious with lovely bathroom.
Great location, staff super friendly and helpful especially when it came to parking in the small car park
That our room led out to the roof where the seagulls screamed all through the night - we didn’t get a wink of sleep because of it. It was really frustrating. I know the hotel can’t help it but I’d ask for a room on the outer side of the hotel and not where the seagulls are on the inside if that makes sense. There is a large flat roof area where they seem to congregate at night and our window opened right up onto it!!
We had the club room, It was a lot larger than expected, very spacious, clean with robes and slippers provided. The bather had a bath as well as a power shower which was superb. There was a large selection to choose from for Breakfast, we had full English modernised to our preference. Nothing too much trouble Staff were friend and polite and extremely helpful. Bar was parked behind locked gates. The Location was right in the centre of town, just perfect for getting about. We shall be staying again next time for longer, as Carlisle has plenty to offer.
Nothing could have been any better for us.
Great location beautiful historic building
Needs more TLC
We stayed here for 3 nights so we could meet up with relatives
Hotel dates back to 1905. We booked a club room. King size bed, tv, bath and overhead shower, couch , desk and chairs.
Staff were friendly except 1 girl in bar who bever said a worth other than we dont serve pineapple juice.
Breakfast buffet style and separate menu was excellent as were the waiter/waitresses.
Breakfast is extra. About £11.50 pp a day.
Hotel has a pool and lounge
All the shops are less than 1 minute away and lots of them. Their are bars and cafes
Only criticism No fridge in room
Nice place staff were very attentive
Room a bit stuffy
The location and the staff were excellent.
Helpful and friendly.
I only stayed in night.. definitely longer next time.
Location and breakfast had the most friendly lady at breakfast
Room very small
Having just walked the Cumbria way (solo), I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The single bed was plenty big enough, the room was clean and functional, and the swimming pool and jacuzzi was perfect to relax the muscles.
Nothing - grand entrance, excellent staff, and great value for money (would I rather stay in a soulless budget chain hotel?).
Very central location near railway station. Secure car park small but other paid parking nearby.
Breakfast had good choice. Meal in bar was value for money.
£15 per night for the fog and not even a dog biscuit in the room
Cheaper booking direct.
Location was great, close to the castle and museum.
Whilst dacor was dated obviously it's rich in heritage so was fantastic. Rooms were small and only negative was no little refrigerator or air con.
Staff were amazing, and dining for breakfast and dinner was really yummy and good value for money. Would definitely recommend
Helpful and friendly staff.
Brilliant shower.
Close to the railway station and city centre.
Very clean rooms.
I didn't try the breakfast.
