We’ve been here a few times now and love it.. what’s not to love it’s stunning ! Food is lovely, hotel clean and beautiful and the spa is exceptional.. we’ve had treatments here and the staff were amazing !!
The taps don’t really fit the sink.. it’s like they are fitted in the wrong place and water goes on the top h less you open the tap a lot to start with which isn’t a major thing but just an odd thing to get wrong
A beautiful location
Clean and tidy
Quiet with unreal scenery
Very king staff
Great food
Great drinks
Brilliant customer service
Comfortable room
The WiFi was glitching a bit but it wasn’t a problem everything else was amazing
Both excellent.
Bit pricey
great location spa is amazing also staff is lovely
rooms - no aircon, couldn't sleep with the heat of the room -smoke alarm went off at 4 am with out no feedback
and no clean towels or toilet roll when cleaners cleaned room.
Breakfast was great good size portions!
The location is outstanding so beautiful.
The spa was so good!
Everything was lovely no complaints at all.
I think the Asian restaurant was the best, and the reception lounge bar was also nice. My favourite part was the spa.
The food was poor, the standard compared to the price was surprising. The breakfast was especially disappointing. Some of the staff including one chap who works at the lounge bar was incredibly rude. The spa was lovely, except their problem with mold and spider nests. We first got a non refurbished room despite paying extra for a superior room, once we spoke to reception they said that room was one of the only rooms left they haven’t refurbished and most people complain, as we were paying the same price as refurbished rooms this was not fair.
Amazing location and building to match facilities second to none
Nice public areas
Bedroom next to extractor fan and noise from this
Very peaceful and staff were really friendly
It’s Location
Overpriced poor quality food and drink, small cramped damaged room.
Location; bed was comfortable
Reception staff (the breakfast staff and housekeeper were v nice); cheap decoration; the fact we would be charged £40 per person to use the spa and this had to be booked; very average breakfast - watery porridge; poor view from both rooms; average bathroom facilities; my bedspread was stained.
Spa
Nothing
The restaurant staff were very caring and helpful, while the rest of the hotel staff did not seem capable of making guests feel welcome or providing adequate support. The hotel itself was pleasant, but somewhat dated and lacking any particular services that would justify the price paid. There is no swimming pool, except for the one in the spa, which is available at an additional charge and can only be booked in two-hour slots. We paid an extra £40 for access to the spa, and it was worth it. The food in the restaurant was excellent and one of the highlights of our stay.
Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. Apart from the restaurant staff, who were professional and attentive, the service throughout the hotel was disappointing. Housekeeping failed to clean our room and bathroom on the second day, despite our request at reception.
In addition, some of the hotel's promotional photos are misleading, particularly those that make it appear to be directly on the lakefront, when it is actually set back and separated from the lake by a road.
Considering the level of service and amenities provided, the overall experience did not represent good value for the price paid.
