Lovely staff, room could be improved
Pros:

Lovely friendly and welcoming staff. Nice location with lovely view from the terrace and the comfy orangery which was a good place to relax with a glass of wine after a long drive. Very dog friendly.

Cons:

The room was quite large and very clean but rather lacking in creature comforts: for example a small fridge with some cold water would have been nice and a couple of armchairs (plenty of room for them) so that we could sit in comfort rather than perch on the edge of the bed to have a cup of coffee. Lots of lights but all of them too dim to read by.

A pleasant retreat in the Cotswolds
Pros:

Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking on site. Nice pool. Beautiful views from the conservatory where dinner is also served or one can relax in comfortable chairs with a pre-dinner drink. Well located for lakes and day trips, close to Cirencester which is a very nice town with a Saturday market. Dinner menu very good with a couple of vegan options. Quality of food and size of portions was very good. Room had a microwave, sink, fridge and coffee / tea refills every day.

Cons:

The bathroom was very standard and when looked at closely, could have been a bit cleaner. Otherwise great water pressure, steaming hot water and fresh towels when required.

Interior update needed back to luxury
Pros:

The area was good for touring the Cotswolds.

Cons:

The property had been sold. And it really needed some major internal updates . We took
Our small dog but the room they put us in had really bad floor markings. Needed wooden floors not carpet's! Think the price was high for luxury that was not there.
Shame really as a beautiful property. Ideal for a small wedding

We stayed here on my son's Birthday as a Stop over to LEGOLAND.
The staff were lovely and the restaurant was excellent.

Very scruffy, black mold in shower soap, ceiling peeling in bathroom, stains on carpet, raised numbs on furniture, bin rusty and dirty, 1 toilet roll for whole weekend, wet floor towel left to be used against and not changed

Nice place, complications with payments.
Pros:

The rooms were clean, location was good.

Cons:

We had fully paid for the booking via booking.com. After checking in we were told that our card had declined for one of the room payments. This did not make sense at all as either the card would have fully declined for the payment or fully gone through. I had to shown the reception and argue my case that everything was fully paid. On the next day, we were also asked to settle the outstanding amount again, and I had to repeat myself again. I'm not sure what they were playing at. Just be careful if you book and have fully paid, but they still say a payment is outstanding.
