The location
One of the staff members on arrival and throughout the shift wasn't very pleasant. We were unable to access any of our rooms as had an issue and key cards wasn't working so had to be let in by a staff member. I was getting married the day after and we had booked 3 rooms where we all requested to be on the same floor which we were not. It also made it very difficult accessing each of our rooms having to keep going to reception. When we did it also seemed that we were being nuisance and disturbing the staff member. I understand that things can happen out of anyone's control. However, staff should not moan into guests how rubbish it is and say how do you think it is for me when I am the one having to go up and down and back and forth to let people in. I will be completely shattered having to do this! It was a special time and was looking forward to our first stay and hopefully future stays but from our first experience we were left extremely disappointed after our 2 night stay. I would like to add to the women that took over the shift and did the night shift was very nice and completely different with a happy positive attitude. Shame as a great location and a nice rooms
Would have preferred a walk in shower.
Reception was great friendly and very helpful
Breakfasts plates were cold and therefore the food was cold as well bacon was dry cold and hard the rest was ok but also ended up cold not very palatable. Coffee dispenser was empty and just settled for orange juice instead. The server could bring us our main breakfast but could not think to take away our serial bowls or fruit juice empty glasses? Also he needs to clean his shoes they were disgusting.
The room and the bed were comfortable and clean.
There was a good breakfast selection.

The hot tap for the shower mixer did not work which I found out on the morning we were leaving so didn't want to worry anyone. Room 3
Poached and fried eggs, lovely runny yolk, not keen on the slimy egg white.
Location was excellent, set in a park yet close to town centre

Clean room, friendly staff. Breakfast, everything catered too. Then having a restaurant next to it, conveint and very good food.. The only thing I would have liked is a walk in shower. Being over seventy I managed but not every one would.May be I should have asked.
All in all. Really enjpyed our stay.
Having to climb over bath to get into shower. The bath was on a gradient which could get slippy. I did see the notice about a bath mat but only after I got in.
