Great location in the middle of a park which was lovely to walk round. Only 15/20 min walk into the centre. There was a nature reserve walkable in the other direction. Lady on reception was friendly and helpful when I couldn't get in the room (batteries on the card scanner had gone). Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. Also lots of parking available.
The room was too hot for me in the afternoon/early evening.

I am an able body person, but given room 4 which was for a disabled person, i was really looking for a good soak in the bath, but there wasn't a bath in my room, no staff on reception to request a change in room, i had to brush my teeth on my knees as the sink was so low, room perfect for someone who needed those facilities. i did mention to staff as i checked out the next day, but they didn't seem interested.

Stayed during the heatwave and the rooms do not have Air-con so it was horrifically hot in the room.

We have stayed here on numerous occasions to meet with family, this time as a stop over on the way to Northumberland. The hotel was clean, staff as friendly as ever and a seamless check in. Ample free parking and the bar area is lovely.
We were however disappointed with the breakfast, lack of choice and very repetitive, not everyone wants eggs, bacon, sausage served in various ways, the continental choice was also lacking a few yoghurts, only plain available on one day and a poor choice of pastries, no fruit to go with the yoghurts either.
