Excellent trip to Aberystwyth
Pros:

Location was great ,plenty of parking but if busy would of been stuck as one guest was wheelchair user and only 2 wide bays. Suggest few more disabled parking spaces.
Hotel was excellent, very clean ,very friendly staff.
Room s we're very spacious and very clean.
Shower took quite a while to get hot. Restaurant excellent, food very good and not bad prices for a hotel tbh.

Excellent and welcoming and we’d happily stay again.
Pros:

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
We had an accessible room and it was perfect for our disabilities.
Every request we made when booking was met.
The menu was great for a coeliac.

Lovely stay but a little too warm
Pros:

Lovely staff, plenty of car parking, good location, nice restaurant, clean room.

Cons:

Room was really hot, especially as we were directly above the kitchen. No air conditioning which made it difficult to sleep as it was very warm. Opening windows helped but the kitchen extraction was right outside our window and the constant droning noise didn't help.

1. Beware - no AC. This will be a problem when daytime temp exceeds 25 celcius. Altho a table fan is provided.

More Corporate Than Cosy
Pros:

We particularly liked the convenience of the hotel, with easy parking, a straightforward check-in and a good base for exploring Aberystwyth.

Cons:

We stayed at the Park Lodge Hotel in Aberystwyth after booking through Booking.com just 40 minutes before arrival. Check-in at around 6.00 pm was straightforward, though there was a brief mix-up over payment as we were initially asked to pay again at the hotel.

As my wife is awaiting a hip replacement and I have troublesome ankles, we used the lift. Unfortunately, it was an open-platform disabled lift that took around a minute to arrive and another 45 seconds to travel one floor. If you have mobility issues and are in a hurry, bring patience.

Our room was excellent—large, spotless and very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate, and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The only downside was that the room felt far too warm.

The restaurant staff were pleasant and worked hard, although service felt rushed. My wife is dairy intolerant and made this clear, yet her linguine arrived covered in cheese. To their credit, it was replaced without hesitation, though the presentation was poor and the portion came in a bowl that reminded us of a dog bowl. My chilli con carne was fine, but again the presentation was lacking, with the rice and sour cream served separately in ramekins.

Breakfast was mixed too. I ordered avocado with sourdough and scrambled eggs, expecting proper avocado, but received guacamole in a ramekin instead.

Overall, the Park Lodge Hotel has a lot going for it: spacious, clean rooms, an excellent bathroom and friendly staff. However, the slow lift, overheated room and disappointing food presentation took the shine off the stay. For the money, it felt a little overpriced, though with a few improvements it could be a hotel we'd happily recommend.

A comfortable and convenient base for visiting Aberystwyth.
Pros:

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is an excellent location, very convenient for all routes to and from Aberystwyth, and a short walk to the town centre. Availability of on-site parking was excellent.
