Shame hotel was not to our expectations but we didn’t let this ruin our break away.
Pros:

Location was only 10 minutes away from bus and train station. Lovely walk along Eastbourne sea front.

Cons:

Shower needed a deep clean.
Staff not very welcoming, need a little customer/hotelier training.

Pros:

The location was perfect—just a 2–3 minute walk from the tennis courts. There are also several nice restaurants, cafés, and a pub nearby. We were able to park our car with the permission of a permit holder, and the hotel was very helpful in arranging this.

Cons:

It was an exceptionally hot day, and the room felt like a sauna. Unfortunately, there wasn't a fan available, so we struggled to sleep. We understand that the high temperatures were unusual, but it would have been greatly appreciated if the hotel had provided fans for exceptionally hot days like this.

A great seaside hotel that the owners can be proud of.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent the first time in a number of years in Eastbourne staying in a hotel that actually served breakfast
The location was good being just a few hundred yards from the event I was attending at the tennis centre.

Pros:

The receptionist was friendly on arrival. The hotel was close to the beach and the bed was comfy.

Cons:

The lift wasn’t working and there was a smell of vomit in the ground floor corridor- not great in 35 degrees. The cooked breakfast was dried up when it arrived to our table.

Pros:

I had very comfortable stay at New Wilmington Hotel. I would especially like to give a credit to (Manager) Wajiha for making experience even better..she is very kind hearted, professional and always ready to help with a smile.
Her exceptional hospitality truly stood out during my stay. I can confidently say that she is one of the hotel greatest assest.
Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable.
I highly recommended to all.

Lovely clean bedroom refurbished to a high standard
Great location near the pier.
Freshly cooked breakfast to order.
Lift available.

Cons:

Room was advertised as including a bath, coffee maker and chocolate. This wasn't the case. The listing needs updating. I did mention this to them.
Some fruit available at breakfast would have been excellent.

Great location, comfortable stay
Pros:

Fantastic location right next to the beach, with everything you need within easy reach. The room was nicely decorated with the large, comfortable bed.

Cons:

The only downside of our stay was the bathroom. The shower pressure was very poor, making it difficult to have a proper shower. The bathroom could also benefit from refurbishment, as the fittings and taps are quite outdated. It was very difficult to adjust the water temperature.It was either too hot or too cold.
