Short Stay
Pros:

Very warm welcome from the receptionist and very helpful explaining all facilities especially local parking and parking voucher.
Our room was excellent, clean and modern.
There are plenty of breakfast choices with the main being served rather than self service.
The hotel is in a perfect position for our needs as we were visiting the Congress Theatre which was about a 2 minute walk.

Cons:

There was nothing that we didn't like and would definitely use and recommend this hotel

Pros:

Stayed here in June 2026 - a bit busier then but a really nice hotel with a good location and a great breakfast included in our price. We stayed in the same room at the top of the hotel so fairly quiet, Staff are friendly and very helpful

A great hotel, great location and great price.
Pros:

We had one evening there and I have no complaints at all. The hotel is spotless, the staff are charming and helpful. The hotel is immediately behind the Grand Hotel, perfectly located two minutes from the seafront. Parking is good with a £2.50 permit available from the hotel. Rooms are sufficient, perfectly clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast is absolutely decent. I only saw three different staff members but they work hard, are super polite and helpful and really a credit to the establishment. I can't recommend this hotel enough. On recent trips to Eastbourne we've worked our way up seafront hotels which are over priced and display a faded grandeur of their previous days. This hotel is different. It has a history, but the current management are doing an excellent job and it's half the price of a seafront hotel. Honestly, I can recommend it enough.

Hotel management does not care about its customers
Cons:

Our room was partially without electricity. The television, lights and tea/coffee-making facilities was not working the first night. Despites complaints, the hotel management disregarded our messages.

Would not stay again and to finish off my car was vandalised outside the hotel.
Pros:

Good breakfast, pleasant staff.

Cons:

Room was very tired, beds were awful, bathroom was a joke with hot water coming out of both taps, minute shower with very low water pressure.
Extremely hot and uncomfortable room.

It was convenient to the Congress Theatre which I was attending and a minute or two from beach .
Pros:

Did not have breakfast. The hotel is old and in need of redecorating. However, I was only there two nights, my room was clean, of a reasonable size, there was a lift to the 2nd floor which was handy and for £2.50 I was able to park outside for the day with a permit from the hotel. Parking meters abound and it's very expensive but there is free parking a street or two away.

Cons:

Bathroom could do with a bit of titivating but it was clean and all worked OK. That is not a complaint, just an observation.
