Location was nice, the lobby ans entertainment area looked great

This may be the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I was there to speak at a conference, and I was impressed from the moment I arrived.

The entire hotel was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated, with a simple, uncluttered style that made the space feel comfortable and inviting. My room was comfortable, had a small refrigerator, and even worked beautifully as a professional backdrop when I needed to do a Zoom meeting.

The conference space was excellent. I am not sure whether the tech team was part of the hotel or the conference, but they were incredibly helpful in getting everything set up for my presentation, which made my job as a speaker much easier.

The food was another pleasant surprise. I am vegan and my friend is pescatarian, and we both found excellent choices.

I arrived without being a Marriott member. I left as one. That probably says everything!

We had an associate staying at this hotel for four days. At check-in, he was specifically told that his checkout date was Friday. Later, the hotel attempted to charge for a fifth night, claiming the reservation had been extended. However, when I asked who made the change, the front desk agent could not provide any information. Instead, she simply said she "assumed" our associate had adjusted the reservation, which is not an acceptable explanation.

I explained multiple times that our credit card authorization only approved the original four-night stay and that a fifth night was never authorized. Rather than investigate what clearly appeared to be a mistake on the hotel's end, the front desk agent continued to argue with me and stated, "Then he's going to have to cover it."

When I requested a manager, the front desk manager got on the phone and continued the argument. Despite the fact that the authorization on file only covered four nights, they insisted on charging for a fifth night without being able to explain how the reservation was changed or who changed it.

To make matters even worse, during this stay our associate's vehicle was broken into and the windows were smashed in the hotel parking lot. For a property charging around $300 per night, I would expect at least some level of security or concern for guest safety.

Based on this experience, I will no longer be booking associates from our site at this hotel. The lack of professionalism, accountability, customer service, and guest security is completely unacceptable.

I would not recommend this property to anyone.

This is my #1 choice whenever I travel to Columbus for business. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, I always get a great night’s sleep. The service is consistently spectacular, with a team that truly makes you feel welcome. One of my favorite perks is the beautiful walking path around the lakes, which is perfect for unwinding after a busy day. And I can’t leave without mentioning the delicious chocolate cake, I keep coming back for it! Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers.

Attended the Ohio Mortgage Bankers Conference there with 230 people. A great facility to stay AND to hold an event! Food was great. Hospitality was spot on and not in the way. Rooms are very nice. They have both Tesla and EV chargers out front. The area has a lot to do with many restaurants. Looking forward to coming back next year!

I had a wonderful stay at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel in Westerville. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made me feel welcome throughout my visit. The hotel and my room were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and provides a relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. Wonderful hotel with great decor and amazing service. All staff were helpful. We ate breakfast at their on site restaurant and it exceeded expectations. One of the best experiences at a hotel and we travel frequently! Highly recommend.
