Comfortable, clean and spacious flat right in the city centre. Ideal for our trip.

Lovely spacious flat right in the city centre. Comfortable beds. Hosts were very helpful.

Cons:

On the Friday night there was music coming up through the building until about 3 in the morning. Is there a night club in the basement? We also had a mouse visiting.

Pros:

El alojamiento es una maravilla, está céntrico y puedes ir a pie a todas partes. Las vistas son una maravilla y tiene todas las comodidades necesarias. Los anfitriones son un amor, estuvieron atentos durante toda la estancia.

Cons:

Debajo del alojamiento hay una discoteca que abre los viernes y sábados. El sábado se escuchaba la música y el ajetreo que hay en el centro de una ciudad. Eso está totalmente fuera del alcance de los dueños. Pero si vais en fin de semana es algo importante de saber, ya que si eres de suelo ligero, te costará dormir incluso con tapones.

Good value for money for the area you are staying in but it’s too loud at night to sleep properly
Pros:

The location was very convenient. So close to all the main parts of the city you want to see. The beds were extremely comfortable. WiFi Sonos system an added bonus - we already have this in the UK.

Cons:

Extremely noisy throughout the night from people leaving clubs and bars local to the apartment. With no AC, which isn’t a problem, we had to have the bedroom windows open and although the beds were so comfortable we were disturbed so much. If you sleep with your windows open, be warned this is not a quiet area at night.
Advertised as a luxury apartment. Bathroom definitely needs a coat of paint as a lot of flaky paint and cracks. No toiletries included as advertised. The towels provided smelt damp too and could have been fresher.

Great stay, just hoping no chores during vacation
Pros:

The location is excellent—very central and within walking distance of all the must-see sights in Ghent. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the train station, which was manageable. The place was clean and spacious, with plenty of room to relax. Although we didn’t use them during our stay, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the built-in washer/dryer would be especially convenient for longer stays. The host was very responsive and answered all our queries promptly. They even allowed us to stay until 3 pm for an additional fee of €50, which was very convenient.

Cons:

City tax: Please note that the city tax can be confusing. Aside from what’s mentioned on Booking.com at the time of booking, there is a city tax of €7 per person per night collected separately. For longer stays, this can add up to a significant amount.

End-of-stay chores: At checkout, guests are required to collect all linens and towels, gather and segregate the garbage, and take it down to the basement bins. For families—especially moms hoping for a break from chores during vacation—this is something to be aware of.

Bathroom layout: There is only one main bathroom, which contains two showers with no divider (very close together), plus the toilet and the washer/dryer. There is a separate toilet with a basin, but the overall bathroom setup may feel impractical or awkward for some guests.

During our stay, the radiator heaters were not working on the second day, and there was no hot water in the showers. While we don’t think this was the owner’s fault, we managed with a quick cold shower.
