Frustrating!!!!
Pros:

Next door to venue for event I was attending

Cons:

Complicated check in, parking, getting back to the room and finding my way out the next morning. Signage needed and clearer explanations from staff who seemed to assume I had stayed before

Stay if you need to be near golf courses…
Pros:

Close proximity to golf courses, good breakfast variety.

Cons:

Confusing signages, got lost all the time, expensive parking fees. Hair dryer not working. Calls to operator and front desk ignored. Tired and dated looking rooms and bathrooms. Lift not really working also.

A wonderful hotel and complex, we all can not wait to visit again.
Pros:

Amazing place, we all really enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

we only had a problem when we arrived, there was a lady behind the Bar, who wasn't very helpful, she was quite rude.
we just avoided her after that, and took advantage of the table service.

The ups and downs
Pros:

everything was on point. and far exceeded my expectations. The "resort" is incredible. I thought i'd booked a little manor house. A low number chain, maybe independent. I suggest you explore. strongly suggest.

I was contacted some weeks prior for a restaurant booking. I travelle 14 countries last year, this was odd. They recommended The Rafters. I opted for the tasting menu (common to a rosette restaurant but which I had to ask asked for on this occasion). It was fantastic. they had some timing issue's with it but possibly down to very fresh members of staff.

Cons:

And then we get to breakfast. this was a real let down. and several other I spoke to had the same complaints. terribly cooked sausages (likely large gastronorm tray, tightly packed, not turned and not long enough and/or hout enough). An add black pudding crumble. which was bland and wet. much like the eggs. pre made toast, are you mad! cold and the butter hard.
I wasn't asked if I wanted tea or coffee and what coffee I did get i'm not sure had coffee in it. I left.

Terrible Customer service
Pros:

Nice hotel terrible service. Used to stay here a lot and the service was much better than it is now.
Bar: waited 25 minutes outside to order a drink, waiter said he was busy, next order the same so my wife went to the bar where someone still ordered on tablet then wanted to charge her 10% on her £16 aperol spritz. Said will bring you complimentary nuts (had to ask 3 times) took our drinks to another table.
Pad restaurant: didn’t ask about allergies, wife said gluten free could you make egg fried rice without soya they said will check with kitchen, NO they’re too busy and only have pre-made rice. She ordered the only thing gluten free Green Curry which was too hot to eat, the waitress came over and rather than ask how everything was said how’s the curry is it too hot (experience this before). Manager apologised and said don’t judge us in today which is word for word what the bar staff had said.
Breakfast: told my wife we have gluten free muffins in that section the bowl was empty the whole time we were there. I request poached eggs, waited over 20 minutes to be told sorry we have them to the wrong table.
Pool: then went to the pool, was closed due to contamination.

Having been many times it’s a lovely building, good facilities but everywhere we went we had terrible service!

Very, very tired room, not the Celtic Manor experience we were hoping for!
Pros:

Great location, staff very friendly and helpful, tasty breakfast with good choice.

Cons:

We were upgraded to a Deluxe king room. The bed was king-size, but the room wasn't Deluxe at all! The carpets were thread bare! The one wall had stains on it, where a drink had been thrown up it! There were no USB connections in the room, only the old Rj45 laptop connectors!
Basically the room looked like it was stuck in the 1980's but we were paying 2026 room prices. Our friends room was the same as ours with the same issues. The view out of the room was a neglected rooftop with weeds growing in it, which looked well established. Was looking forward to the full Celtic manor room wow factor, but was left well short!

Very comfortable, impressive facilities, favourable impression let down by surprise fee for parking.
Pros:

Very helpful and welcoming staff. Room spacious and comfortable. Lots of options for dining and relaxing with a drink. Resort facilities are excellent. Very good breakfast. The big airy lobby and off-lobby dining and relaxing areas.

Cons:

Expecting customers to pay for overnight parking at a hotel of this standing is outrageous. Around £25 for the underground car park in the hotel or £14 for the surface car park. Coming from Scotland, I can testify that even a Scotsman would wince at this bare faced meanness. Bedside socket and USB charging point did not work. Plug in sink stuck and can't be moved to the down position.

Pros:

We were moved from The Manor House up to the main resort due to a closure, no issues. Lovely room with aircon, very comfy beds. Day time staff were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to ask how things were or if we needed anything. Cannot fault the day time staff.

Cons:

If I had paid for the main resort, I would say it needs a tiny bit of TLC in minor areas of the rooms but as we paid for Manor House, I can't complain.

Nighttime staff not as friendly. Wasn't very welcoming, didn't tell us where to go or provide any information whatsoever (check out time, directions to rooms, any breakfast available etc).

Pros:

Pros:

I stayed here for a conference at the ICC next door. The location for this was perfect. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The hotel was clean and the room was of a good size. The hotel breakfast buffet was fantastic, lots of choice, and a lovely breakfast area. Because I was at the conference I did not use many of the facilities however the pool looked amazing. There is a choice of lovely bars and restaurants.

Cons:

For the amount paid for the room the parking charges were very steep considering it is essentially a layby off the M4 (not in a town or city). The location was great if you are attending a conference or on a golf/spa weekend but otherwise quite isolated.

mixed experience
Pros:

Staff were helpful and room was well appointed, clean and generous size. Downside was that the shower only worked on max. hot so was very difficult to use. Phone in the room did not work and dressing gowns were missing. Front desk said management would call to discuss but 36 hours on no one has called. I would be inclined to book the main resort hotel next time.
