The hotel itself was very nice and had nice restaurants
The people in the room next to us were extremely loud throughout the night. They woke us both up numerous times in the night
That the main building was modern and very clean
The Manor House is very dated, dark and a bit dingy to be honest. Too far from the main hotel. You had to pay £20 for the underground car park which was ridiculous.
It was meant to be a special occasion, Welsh cakes and card was left for us which was nice, a free bottle of fizz would have been amazing!! Over priced for the Manor House. I booked the grill for dinner which was superb with a lovely table and views! Service was excellent.
Nice room, good air conditioning! Lovely new bathroom very good value for money
Great facilities and staff
Booking.com site said there are free transfers from Airport, hotel says not. That misalignment cost us £100.
Have been before but the spa is now a bit dated & in need of decorating. Celtic manor hotel is superb & staff very helpful & friendly. However our room wasn’t great. Dust on floor by doorstop & bits on carpet. Couple of stains on duvet & pillow on one of the beds. The bathroom was spotless. Just expect a little better for the money.
Very lengthy, difficult and frustrating checking in and parking. Expensive parking. Difficult to find correct floor and lift to get back to the car park. I had to walk up a ramp for “cars only’ in the end. Dangerous. Carpet in my room had hairs on it and large threadbare patches bare patches.
The property itself was good.
It was all good but didn’t think our room was very clean. Bits on the carpet , marks on pillow & quilt. Dust on floor by doorstop. Bathroom was spotless though
Booking in lady Rebecca extremely helpful giving us all information as to how to find our way around the hotel.
I think it was the Merlin Bar which was a little crowded and some people turning away as not enough tables.
My wife and i always stay at the celtic manor but on this occasion we stayed at the Manor house . The reason behind the choice was that two of our children were born there in the old maternity home before it became an hotel. The staff were delighted to hear our story and showed us all the changes to the property. Our room was excellent and our stay memorable. Perhaps the management should promote the hotel so as to appeal to older couples like ourselves who had their children delivered there.
I am sure there wil be many people interested to follow our expereience
We booked four rooms in the Manor House for a golf trip, It was the week in May when it very hot. 3 of the 4 rooms didn’t have the air conditioning working, I mentioned my room to reception, who said they’d get maintenance to look at it. Got back to room at 11.30pm to find it still not working and room temperature was 26.5 degrees. Also these rooms are looking very tired. Sent email to complain, and had no response, very poor customer service.
We had a comfortable stay and met two exceptional members of staff. Rob greeted us at reception and was very welcoming, interested and helpful, a very positive start.
We had a drink on the terrace where we met Vhairi who was so kind, I had a problem with a bite on my hand and she sorted antiseptic wipes and ice for the swelling. She was super busy but took time out to help me which was lovely.
Great views and comfortable bedroom.
We could not get a slightly later check out as the place was so busy, had a bit of a “computer says no” moment, but understand it’s a busy place.
Excellent. Top notch. Staffs helpful and everything l needed for breakfast was there. Clean environment. The bedroom was clean. Bed mattress oh my God very relaxing. Everything was 100 percent. I have told my friends in London about my experience and we promise to come again.
I can't say except that l got lost twice trying to go one place to another as the place is very big. But guess what the staff l asked or saw me lost help ne out. I am great full.
Plenty of placed on site to eat, staff were very friendly, spa facility’s were good and the place was very clean. Handmade biscuits were a lovely touch in the room.
The spa was nice, the pool was alright. Gym was good.
The room wasn't great, dirty fridge, blood on bedding. Got there and the hidden charges started appearing. Parking, a £100 deposit that was NEVER mentioned before arrival which takes 7-10 working days to be returned! No glasses, no robes despite seeing people everywhere with them. £50 for two burgers and chips. You have to book swimming, spa, tables...
We liked that it was linked to the main hotel and that it was ever so slightly quieter than main hotel
When we arrived (after 4pm) we were told our room still was not ready and we had to wait around for over an hour, we had the spa booked for 5.15 so it was a rush up to the room and get ready for the spa we unfortunately had no robes for said spa so I tried to contact housekeeping and reception, went down to reception to say about we had no robes we were told they would be brought to us called the spa to say we would be running late our room had crumbs on the floor the bed was rock hard all we could hear were the people in the room next to us all night. We ordered room service which came late as they had a fire alarm go off in the kitchen when they brought the food there was no apology just that it's late because they had a fire drill went to tuck into the meal and it was stone cold obviously been hanging around for a while had paid for breakfast before hand but when we went down they said they couldn't find it I'm unsure why but we just ended up paying for it again and the cooked breakfast was cold and was like it had been out for ages. We normally love coming to the Celtic manor but unfortunately we will not be returning, to top it off the shower did not work not the end of the world as we did have a shower after the spa but it was just all a bit of a shambles.
Overall nice stay at the Manor House. Room was decent size, clean and tidy with nice bathroom.
Manor House itself feels a little tired, bar wasn’t open whilst there so had to head to main hotel.
Parking not great as only a drop off facility at the Manor House so car needs to be left in a car park nearer to the main hotel. Walk back down to the Manor House is steep or you can go through the building using escalators.
Golf courses were good (2010 and Montgomerie) staff friendly and helpful.
