have a great stay with a classic yet comfortable hotel
Pros:

the location is on the prime area of colombo and the staff welcomed us very warm even introducing any areas around the hotel

Cons:

to much noise at the morning maybe from other room or maybe from the housekeeping

Good location but rooms need soundproofing.
Pros:

The pool was great. The bed was very comfy. Very good location for beach shops and restaurants.

Cons:

The hotel is very noisy. There was a group of school children staying that played cricket in the corridors and were shouting and running up and down the floor very late at night. The music from the rooftop bar is audible in the rooms on 6th floor as is the conversations of those outside the room.
Fridge not supplied as standard in the room but is provided if you ask for one.
Windows leaked when heavy rainfall.
