Great location on the border of the old town. Pretty courtyard to sit in. Heater in the bathroom was nice. Great price.
Staff were barely ever at reception so I could not ask any questions. I tried messaging via booking.com but they didn't respond. No breakfast served and it's hard to find somewhere to eat in town because most people eat at their guesthouses, there aren't cafes open in the early morning. The bed was very very uncomfortable and hard, the hardest I experienced throughout all of China.

Really lovely, authentic Chinese hotel in the centre of the town so that we could walk around the pretty streets. There is an area where you can sit and have your breakfast in the morning with hot water and crockery. The courtyard is lovely on a sunny evening.
The First Rom was so cold, so we were offered a smaller but warmer room. The hotel is quiet. Although nobody spoke English, we could communicate with the translation app

Away from the hustle and bustle busy and noisy Ancient City, nestled in the quiet hillside neighborhood, where convenient stores and restaurants are within walking distance. Yet near enough to reach all the Old City blocks has to offer. The rooms are big.
And most conveniently, a help yourself laundry facility.
Perfect place to stay in Shaxi! This place is very beautiful, and relaxing, staff is helpful, beds are really good. It's just perfect!

Very sad old Chinese property with shower next to toilet and everything broken.
The location was perfectly located; we were easily able to get to anywhere we wanted within walking distance. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and helpful.
The hot water in the sink was basically non-existent.
